🎉 A Very Special Birthday Celebration Today! 🎂

Today at Western Slope Health Center, we had the honor of celebrating one of our wonderful residents who turned an incredible 96 years young!

Our community came together with smiles, laughter, and birthday wishes to make sure his day was truly special. Staff and fellow residents gathered to celebrate with cake, conversation, and plenty of cheer as we honored this amazing milestone.

Birthdays like this remind us how meaningful it is to celebrate the lives, experiences, and stories that make our community so rich. Reaching 96 years is something truly worth celebrating!

At Western Slope Health Center, person-centered care means listening—and going the extra mile to make even the smallest requests meaningful 💜

Recently, one of our residents shared a simple wish: to watch a specific movie. Our team searched high and low to find it, determined to make his request a reality. And we did.

While he may have humorously said, “I don’t do parfaits,” he absolutely knew what he did enjoy—and we were honored to make that happen. Even though he was the only one watching, that moment mattered.

Because here, it’s never about only doing something for the many—it’s about doing the right thing for each individual. It’s these personalized touches that make Western Slope feel like home.

Today was a sweet success at Western Slope Health Center—Parfait Day was a hit! 🍓✨

Residents had the opportunity to create their own delicious parfaits, choosing between fresh strawberry or rich caramel layers. From start to finish, the activity encouraged creativity, independence, and a little indulgence along the way.

The room was filled with smiles as residents layered their treats just the way they liked them, enjoying both the hands-on experience and the tasty results. Activities like this not only bring joy, but also support engagement, fine motor skills, and social connection.

At Western Slope Health Center, every day is an opportunity to engage, inspire, and support the well-being of our residents 💜

Recently, our activity room came alive with two enriching experiences happening side by side. One group participated in an interactive balloon exercise, promoting physical movement, coordination, and social connection in a fun and supportive environment. Laughter and teamwork filled the space as residents stayed active together.

Simultaneously, another group enjoyed a calming watercolor session, fostering creativity, self-expression, and relaxation. Each piece reflected the individuality and talent of our residents, while encouraging focus and mindfulness.

By offering diverse, meaningful activities at the same time, we ensure every resident has the opportunity to engage in ways that support both physical and emotional wellness. This is just one of the many ways we create a vibrant, person-centered community at Western Slope.
