We would like to formally introduce you all to our Nurse Practitioner, Madeline Graham! She has been with Tornik Family Medicine for several months now!

Madeline earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and brings six years of experience as a bedside nurse to her practice.

Currently pursuing her functional medicine certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine, Madeline believes in an integrative approach to healthcare that addresses the root causes of illness. She is also passionate about medical humanitarian work, having volunteered as a nurse in Kurdistan, Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, and Myanmar.

In her free time, Madeline enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dog, diving into a good book, practicing yoga, and exploring new destinations. She is dedicated to helping patients at Tornik Family Medicine achieve optimal health and improve their overall well-being.

Exciting News!!

Dr. Tornik is running for Coroner in Champaign County!!!! Dr. Tornik loves his community, and loves Champaign County! He has always had a strong desire to serve in any way he can. In addition to this, he will maintain his primary work with his private practice as it continues to grow.

If you don’t know Dr. Tornik……He is a native of Plain City. He has been in the medical field for over 30 years! He began his career working as an assistant at his father’s chiropractic office when he was 16 years old. His parents instilled the great importance of giving back to his community! He is rooted in the strong moral values he grew up with. He believes in having a strong moral character, and showing kindness and compassion to all.

Tornik Family Medicine is hiring for a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST!!

We are in search of an energetic, enthusiastic, and detail oriented Medical Receptionist to work in our busy Family Practice. Candidates would be responsible for answering phones, patients questions, scheduling, and dealing with records to ensure efficiency of the medical practice.
Responsibilities:
-Efficiently operate multiple line phones
-Organize and schedule appointments
-Update and file medical records and insurance reports
-Arrange referrals, and laboratory services
-Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
-Help to maintain a clean office environment

Candidates should be comfortable with managing multiple phone lines, possess excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a busy and fast paced environment.

Dr. Tornik is happy to welcome Jessica Barthelmas, FNP, to his medical team!

Jessica earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

As a holistic-minded practitioner, she is passionate about providing acute care, chronic disease management, and preventative wellness to patients of all ages. She believes in establishing a strong and effective patient-provider partnership where her goal is to guide patients in their health journey with personalized care.

Outside of medicine, Jessica loves spending time with her husband and their son. Most of their time is spent outdoors gardening, hiking, boating, or camping.

Thank you for trusting Tornik Family Medicine with your medical care! We strive to keep our prices affordable, and lower than most offices. Due to the recent economic inflation, we must make some adjustments to our prices. Our new prices will allow us to continue to serve our patients and the community. The changes will be effective beginning on May 13, 2024

Tornik Family Medicine appointment fees as of May 13, 2024:

1. Same-day sick appointments $85
2. Regular appointments/ well child checks $95
3. New Patient or extended appointment/consultations $140

We are sad to announce that Joey Reed, our Nurse Practitioner, will be moving on in April. She has dedicated her time and hard work to our patients and practice over the past several years. She has always gone the extra mile for each patient and each task. We will miss her, but understand that it is time for a new adventure!

Joey has a brief message she would like share:

“ I want to start by thanking Dr. Tornik for trusting me to be part of this healthcare team. I have learned and grown so much over my time with this practice. I deeply value the relationships that I have with my patients and the knowledge that I have gained from Dr. Tornik. It has been such a joy to be able to participate in the care of patients from pediatrics to adults. I cannot type enough words to thank my patients, Dr. Tornik, and everyone at Tornik Family Medicine for their support in this journey.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Our office will be closed December 25 and 26, but will be open for normal hours Wednesday, December 27-Friday 29th. We will also be closed for New Year’s Day, but open Tuesday January 2-January 5.
