We want to inform our patients that one of our wonderful Nurse Practitioner's, Jessica Barthelmas will be moving on. We will miss her contributions, and we are grateful for the care and service Jess has provided during her time with us. Congratulations to Jess and her family!

We are now actively in the process of hiring a new Nurse Practitioner and will keep you updated on the transition. In the meantime, Dr. Tornik and Madeline remain committed to ensuring continuity of care and continuing to meet your healthcare needs.

We would like to formally introduce you all to our Nurse Practitioner, Madeline Graham! She has been with Tornik Family Medicine for several months now!

Madeline earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and brings six years of experience as a bedside nurse to her practice.

Currently pursuing her functional medicine certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine, Madeline believes in an integrative approach to healthcare that addresses the root causes of illness. She is also passionate about medical humanitarian work, having volunteered as a nurse in Kurdistan, Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, and Myanmar.

In her free time, Madeline enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dog, diving into a good book, practicing yoga, and exploring new destinations. She is dedicated to helping patients at Tornik Family Medicine achieve optimal health and improve their overall well-being.

Exciting News!!

Dr. Tornik is running for Coroner in Champaign County!!!! Dr. Tornik loves his community, and loves Champaign County! He has always had a strong desire to serve in any way he can. In addition to this, he will maintain his primary work with his private practice as it continues to grow.

If you don’t know Dr. Tornik……He is a native of Plain City. He has been in the medical field for over 30 years! He began his career working as an assistant at his father’s chiropractic office when he was 16 years old. His parents instilled the great importance of giving back to his community! He is rooted in the strong moral values he grew up with. He believes in having a strong moral character, and showing kindness and compassion to all.

Tornik Family Medicine is hiring for a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST!!

We are in search of an energetic, enthusiastic, and detail oriented Medical Receptionist to work in our busy Family Practice. Candidates would be responsible for answering phones, patients questions, scheduling, and dealing with records to ensure efficiency of the medical practice.
Responsibilities:
-Efficiently operate multiple line phones
-Organize and schedule appointments
-Update and file medical records and insurance reports
-Arrange referrals, and laboratory services
-Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
-Help to maintain a clean office environment

Candidates should be comfortable with managing multiple phone lines, possess excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a busy and fast paced environment.

Dr. Tornik is happy to welcome Jessica Barthelmas, FNP, to his medical team!

Jessica earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

As a holistic-minded practitioner, she is passionate about providing acute care, chronic disease management, and preventative wellness to patients of all ages. She believes in establishing a strong and effective patient-provider partnership where her goal is to guide patients in their health journey with personalized care.

Outside of medicine, Jessica loves spending time with her husband and their son. Most of their time is spent outdoors gardening, hiking, boating, or camping.
