Today, our Board of Trustees proudly recognized the ambulance crew and two quick-thinking bystanders whose actions helped save a life during a cardiac arrest at the 5 Star Tennis Center on January 12.
Before emergency responders arrived, the bystanders immediately began CPR, applied an AED, and delivered a life-saving shock. When the ambulance crew arrived, they continued CPR, and the patient regained a heart rate prior to being transported to the hospital.
This incident underscores the critical importance of CPR. Immediate, high-quality CPR helps maintain blood flow to the heart and brain and can mean the difference between life and death. Thanks to fast action, training, and teamwork, a life was saved.
