Grieving means that you have loved and is a continuation of your love. Love does not die but instead is transformed through grief. Every reminder hurts but is necessary to remind us of the profound impact our loved one had on our life. I remember this pain acutely over 27 years ago when my 7 year old daughter died of cancer. I didn’t believe I would ever recover, but little by little I did. It wasn’t a sudden recovery but more of a slight yearning in little things that I began to feel like something other than intense pain. journey

Met with our Counseling neighbors, Jessica Pendergast, Clinical Director of Bridgeview Clinical Services for coffee. Always enjoy meeting and talking with others doing this important work. Jessica is a lovely young director and really cares about her clients. She also offered me a self care box which was a much appreciated and thoughtful gesture. We had a nice time getting to know more about each other’s practices.
