Where Exceptional Kids Meet Exceptional Therapists

Shining Star Therapy provides a range of professional in-home or daycare therapeutic services (Occupational, Speech, Physical, Developmental and Learning Disability Therapy) to infants / toddlers with developmental delays and/or disabilities in Early Intervention (0-3 years old) and Early Childhood (4-12 years old). These services include Occupational, Speech, Physical, Developmental Therapy, Learning Disabilities, and (Infant/Toddler) Child & Family Counseling services.

With a combined clinician experience of over 150 years and growing as we consistently hire experienced Occupational, Speech, Physical, Developmental therapists. Shining Star Therapy currently serves many counties (McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Grundy, Will, Kankakee, and more) in the Chicago area and the Northwest suburbs of Illinois. Our team comes to you, and works with infants, toddlers and children right in their own play area where they feel safe, secure and familiar with their natural environment. This truly encourages each child to build upon his or her strengths as the therapist provides treatment techniques to help them to achieve individual therapy goals.

Parent education also plays an enormous role as the therapist identifies the child’s abilities and areas that need improvement. Shining Star Therapy aims to provide parents with the resources needed to ensure that every member of the process understands the therapy goals that are needed and how they will benefit the child.

The History of Shining Star Therapy

After being in business as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for almost 20 years, our founder soon realized we would need additional help in meeting the high demand for qualified, exceptional therapists. We began to build a solid organization full of passionate professional therapists to help meet the special needs of children living in the surrounding communities of Chicago, Illinois.

Shining Star Therapy is a place for little shining stars who are growing, stretching, and strengthening their areas of development one step at a time. We believe that children are God’s little stars and we help to provide a high level of commitment by encouraging them to achieve their daily and weekly therapy goals as they become more familiar with their environment.

We provide parents and children with the necessary tools needed to make this happen. Remember, here at Shining Star, we have little stars that will one day be able to fulfill their dreams if we work together by helping them one day at a time.
