Two weeks in a row, first at LSI as I had the opportunity to present for Quality Means Business, where I am blessed to be a board member, and secondly today in Boston at LSX World Congress USA- Top Talent Accelerant, Inc. has had its official launch party! I am excited to be here as TTA is sponsoring its first event with many to come. 🙏❤️🔥

After over a decade of excellence as Shurig Solutions, Inc, the company has been rebranded TTA as we move to 2 divisions; one to continue helping companies hire for culture directly and the division as we are currently starting to build the UX/UI experience for to bring to the industry. Melissa Espinosa was moving around to get us the best picture… what I was looking for was one that would make my physique look as good as Christian’s! 😃🤣. (I don’t think we quite got there!)

Meeting Christian Espinosa & Melissa at LSI in Dana Point last March was a blessing. Their energy, integrity, and intellect were apparent quickly. After getting a copy of his book “The In Between”, I started to read it on the flight home and couldn’t put it down as I finished it in two days. Some of the parallels of my personal experiences and what is written in “The Modern Day Job” were not lost on me. I highly recommend his book!

It was a blessing to get to spend more time together to discuss the industry, the challenges of safety relevant to cyber security in the age of the meta-verse, and get to know each other even better. I’m excited to read the second book and I’m grateful I was able to get a signed copy.

This was my 10th LSI event and easily the most impactful one yet. Along with presenting, nonstop meetings, and learning…. I had 2 virtual meetings for TTA as we continue the journey to bring a to the world that will become the industry standard for attraction & efficiency to .

I will be reflecting on all of the incredible meetings and interactions from this conference in London for some time.

What an amazing day 2 at LSI Emerging Medtech in London! It’s drinking from the fire hose with long days, but worth every minute. The Womens Medtech Leadership initiative at LSI has continued to grow and it’s exciting to support the amazing female leaders as well as get to partner with some of them. I have been blessed with so many incredible friendships.

I have been involved in the Start-Up & Venture Capital world for almost 7 years now and I love it. This conference is the epi center of medical innovation, brain share, and networking. Some of the executives presenting have been on this journey for 3-7 years and have sacrificed greatly to bring their innovative vision to fruition.

The relationships are priceless and I love the immersion in the ecosystem of Medtech innovation and high level investment. However, no matter how incredible a technology may be… leadership relevant to / and hiring Talent that fits the culture is critical. The best product will fail without the right talent and teams that have a personal Why that matches the mission & vision.

There is only so much time and resources and too many companies fail because they run out of capital and resources/runway. We are now building out the UE/UI for Top Talent Accelerant and every meeting here gets an immediate raise of the eye brows!

My 3rd meeting this morning was with an executive needing multiple roles. After understanding his needs I was able to talk to him about our 10 years of excellence, outcomes, and show him TTA. He raised his eyebrows and said I have met with 6 other recruitment firms here- I haven’t seen anything like TTA or had a conversation so focused on culture like this.

There have been so many miracles on our mission trip that I would be posting nonstop to share them all!! 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

This one is up there as one of my favorite though maybe the smallest. I love Anthony Burkhart and am so grateful God brought us and so many over our other BIAs together through the MMR program over 2 years ago.

He has a HUGE heart, is a giver, and I have been blessed to not only be a part of his journey but to watch him grow and transform the past few years. Grateful to have him on the board of Blessing All Gods Children and he always has my back.

When our first flight was canceled in NC, I shared how we prayed and what happened in the chaos… how they couldn’t believe us being excited to go though Brussels so Burk could be in the Brussels airport. First time out of the USA… Africa for a mission trip and his first landing in Europe! 🤗

After getting to DC we dealt with another challenge and more flight issues, but since it was the airlines situation (there is more to the issue than the physical realm… the enemy didn’t want us in Liberia… But prayer and petition cannot be stopped. The Lord had appointments scheduled!), they let us have a longer stay over in Brussels coming back so now we get to leave the airport for 3 hours so he can see Brussels!

When that happened I started praying earnestly that the Lord would upgrade Burk to 1st class for his obedience and to bless him. After a few minutes I felt the HS tingling and I looked at him and said you’re going to get to fly first class! He just looked at me… 😳…. I said thank Him! (I don’t know whar was going though his head, but he knows my journey… he doesn’t think I am crazy or at least doesn’t tell me! 🤣) I prayed the next 30 minutes in the Spirit after asking the HS to give me the perfect prayer to thank God for doing it even if I was in coach.

So, fast forward as we leave the most amazing last day and get to the airport. Checking in and the lady looks at me confused… looks at our passports again… looks at the screen again… She says… “Did you pay for 1st class?” I smiled…. Like a BIG smile and said “they must have upgraded us for all the flight issues.”

Ok… nodding slowly but still somewhat confused. I look at Burk and was weighing his bag so he missed it. “Did you hear that? No, what?” I am laughing and saying “praise God! What? Just wait….” We get to security and I say, “thank the Lord, Burk. Look at your ticket… you are flying 1st class all the way home…”

Thank you Lord, for hearing and answering my prayers. Amen 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️

As we transition to Top Talent Accelerant, Inc., I reflect on the how the last 10+ years has been such a blessing growing Shurig Solutions, Inc.! One of the main aspects of what I am blessed to do professionally is the amazing people I have met, partnered with, and developed friendships with over the years.

Chris Staab is one of those friendships and I am honored to have gotten to work with him as a candidate, a hiring manager, and call him my friend. Heart of gold, high integrity, and has always had my back!

The last decade has been a blast but I am so excited about the next one as SSI is rebranded and launched as Top Talent Accelerant, Inc.! The recruitment & talent management division will leverage 10+ years of experience and positive outcomes with the same mission:

Help candidates with relevant career advancement opportunities while building companies bringing positive products to patient populations, and support relevant charities!

We have about 1/4 of what we need to compete the project- $21k. I get frustrated sometimes as it is so hard to get interest on social media- as so far- almost no one shares the posts, few comment, and very few contribute. 80% of our funds are from 2 places so far. If 10,000 people gave $10…. (A coffee at Starbucks cost $8! 🫨) It’s paid for! The clinic owns everything and is self sustaining moving forward!

But that’s ok, because I know it will just make the miracle of what God is going to do that more impactful and that more mind blowing! (I suspect a few amazing chapters in a future Job book!?! 🤔😃)

My Shurig Solutions, Inc. 10 year anniversary hit me in a unique and special fashion. The statistics for entrepreneurship aren’t for the weak hearted, but the journey is worth it. The blessing of putting your dream out there, taking the risks, and trying to bring something special or different to the marketplace is worth it. Who might you become? How might one grow?

The last 2 years were not what I had expected and filled with adversity, challenges, and some disappointments. I would not change a thing because I learned so much through the adversity and I grew in humility, emotional intelligence, empathy, as a leader, operationally, and God showed me clearly that delay isn’t a no. I needed to get stronger, learn lessons, make new contacts and go through the fire to be able to handle what was to come.

I landed in Philadelphia to meet with a potential new partner and investor in my new company Top Talent Accelerant, Inc. That person is 43…. The same age that I was when I started SSI.

I realized this morning after landing:

The original franchise was located in Philadelphia and so I flew to Philly to start the company 10 years ago in June.

I signed the contract Saturday with our partner, LaunchPad, to start the process to build out the SaaS for Top Talent Accelerant (also the name of the new company that will replace SSI, but with 2 divisions) but the official start date is today.

As I headed back to the airport after a 5 hour meeting, I received notice from my publisher that preorders for my first book, “The Modern Day Job” would officially start today.

4 years ago I started to create the process for Top Talent Accelerant, I dared to consider writing a book (though I thought it would be the book I writing now 🤔), and I dreamed of starting a charitable foundation. Now 2 of the 3 are accomplished and the journey to bring what I believe will become the industry standard for attraction and efficiency for retained search has started.

Wild…. Wild….. God is so amazing and His timing remarkable.

Just don’t quit…. Don’t ever quit. 🙏🙏
