Rarely has a single individual had such a profound impact on Plainfield Eye Care. We celebrate 3 remarkable years with our practice administrator, Nikki Haavisto, distinguished by personal and professional growth, diligence, organization (spreadsheets anyone?), caring, and some much-needed laughter. Thank you, Nikki, for all you have done for our local independent eye care practice. We look forward to many more years of collaboration and fun!

Our Plainfield Eye Care team is deeply saddened by the recent passing of our retired team member, Laura LaPorte. Laura is fondly remembered for her intelligence, her bright and witty disposition, and her dedication and many contributions to our team during her time with us. We have honored her wishes by donating to The Gathering Together hospice in her memory. We have shared her beautiful tribute below and we hope you will consider a donation if you are able.

Our amazing police officers are already hard at work long before the parade begins, managing closures, detours, and keeping everyone safe. Thanks to our NECESSITIES SPONSORS we’re able to serve them a well-deserved breakfast as a thank-you!

And while officers are fueled up, parade participants are staging for hours before step-off… which means porta-johns & wash stations, not glamorous, but absolutely essential 😉.
