Living Well with Chelle

Living Well with Chelle I am a mom of 3 beautiful children that had struggled for some time with my weight. I was unhappy and becoming depressed until I found a solution.

A few years ago, I decided to be a surrogate for a wonderful family in Spain. During the pregnancy, I became pre-eclampsic and gained quite a bit of water weight, along with a substantial increase in my blood pressure. In April (several weeks early), the family and I welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world. Just as things were starting to get back to normal, and I had been cleared to resume normal exercising routines, I was in a pretty bad car accident and was hit by a drunk driver with other family members in my car. I began to have terrible migraines and to experience some additional female problems. The medications I was placed on caused a lot of weight gain, and I was upset and moody all of the time. I didn't have the energy to do much of anything, especially not to keep up with my two special needs boys. And then January 2016, a friend reached out to me and changed my life, Through her constant support and encouragement, I have lost over 40+ pounds. I no longer take any migraine medicine and manage my headaches solely with my diet. I am happy and healthy and most definitely keeping up with my kiddos!! And so that brings me to today...Now I want to pay it forward and help be that person for someone else. Life is about finding your tribe...the people that stick with you and keep you motivated when you need it most.

I love this!! As a parent of 2 boys with some “special” needs, I know sometimes it would be easier to do things for our kiddos, but we are doing them such an injustice if we do.
If my boys forget something at home, it stays at home. Nick missed pajama day this week because he didn’t empty his folder and give me the flyer from the teacher.
We need to give them the tools and teach them how to do things for themselves. Trust that you are doing a good job and take a step back.

When someone mentions that they’ve looked thru your Instagram and seen what you are capable of. Thank you. Thank you for reminding me who I am, and how far I had come. Back at it this week. No more excuses. No more disappointing myself. Time to pick myself up and do this thing!!

Who says this kid can’t focus? Singing a song, thumbs going like crazy, and I’m sure there’s a friend or two talking in his ear 😂😂😂
Never ever a dull moment in this house. Seriously...this kid cracks me up!!! Wish I would’ve gotten a video of him singing in the minion costume that’s 2 or 3 sizes too small.
