FUN FACT FRIDAY!

A fun fact about pharmacies... is that Coca-Cola was invented by a pharmacist Dr. John Pemberton, in 1886 as a medicinal tonic! He initially sold it at his pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia.

Another fun fact is that Benjamin Franklin was an apprentice in a pharmacy before becoming a printer, scientist, and one of the Founding Fathers of the U.S. The more you know!!

Can Ozempic help lower your risk of dementia?

There are several risk factors for dementia, including type 2 diabetes.
A new study reports that semaglutide — the active ingredient in type 2 diabetes and weight loss GLP-1 medications Ozempic and Wegovy — may help lower dementia risk in people with type 2 diabetes.
Researchers say semaglutide targets several dementia risk factors, in addition to being anti-inflammatory, which could explain this benefit.
