Please welcome Brittany… She will be joining us on Saturdays!
My name is Brittany Hill. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders from Northern Illinois University and my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Purdue University which allowed me to fulfill my long-time dream of becoming a speech-language pathologist. I developed an adoration and interest in this profession at a very young age after seeing my own sister with special needs thrive in speech therapy.
Since earning my graduate degree, I’ve been working in a school setting providing intervention to students from 4 years old all the way up to 22 years old with a wide range of communication needs. I have a special interest in supporting individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and my passion is helping students/clients on the autism spectrum strengthen their social-pragmatic language skills while utilizing neurodiverse-affirming practices. My experience also includes working with students on articulation, fluency, and receptive/expressive language goals.
Outside of Wannemacher Therapy, I serve as the head varsity volleyball coach in my school district and love spending time with my family (including our precious dog!)
I know firsthand how meaningful communication is for families to connect, and I'm honored to partner with clients and their families on their journey to improving speech and/or language skills!
