To my valued patients: I wish to apologize for difficulties you may have trying to schedule your hygiene appointments. If I may explain, there are three reasons for this:
There are a some offices in the area that have sold their practice's to corporations and their patients are not happy about the results of their examinations and treatment (this is for a post at another time), so they want to go elsewhere.
Covid has decreased the workforce and not just in Dentistry. Qualified personnel are not easy to find. It's not like the supermarket where we can bring out another cashier. Adding more members to the team means more work hours possibly another workday. After 40 years in Dentistry, my goal is to work less, not more.
Lastly, the reimbursement rates of insurance companies are pitiful. As you are aware, the last couple years has brought significant inflation and these insurance companies have not kept pace with the rising costs, even before Covid. This makes it extremely difficult to offer the highest of salaries to attract the personnel.
We are trying our best to accommodate, please be patient.
