Dear City of Plainview,

​I have ran the recycling trailer in Plainview for just over a year now. I am sorry to inform You that I can no longer continue to collect recycling do to lack of resources.

During my time running the recycling Trailer I saw just how much the people of Plainview and surrounding towns care for their community and the earth. Some people were even coming from Creighton, Bloomfield and as far away as Randolph to recycle. I hope that those of you who have been recycling at my trailer will continue to recycling in each and every possible way continuing to do your part to make the world a better Place.

I will continue to keep this page up to date on recycling info and locations available for drop-off ​​in the area.

I would like to thank the city for allowing me to park the trailer on city property. I would also like to thank all who have been dropping off recycling at the Trailer.

Most plastic containers have symbols on them. They are typically on takeout containers or plastic Tupperware. The symbols represent what type of plastic the containers are, and are also recycling symbols.
There are 7 types of plastic, and the symbol represents which type of plastic the container is. The other symbol found on the bottom of plastic packages also tells you whether the plastic is safe to use in the microwave or the dishwasher.
