Announcing our "Little Steps" Preschool Program!

Our Pre-K program offers a nurturing and stimulating learning experience for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aged up to 6 years old. We are now enrolling students for the 2023-2024 school year, accepting both insurance and private-pay options.

With options for full-day and half-day programs, our curriculum is designed to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of every child. Through our ABA Model for Independence framework, we prioritize play and open-ended exploration to enhance their growth.

At our clinic, we maintain a low student-to-staff ratio to ensure that each child's unique learning and emotional needs are met with utmost care. Our daily activities include circle time, art/craft activities, free play, rest time, and integrated ABA services.

What sets us apart is our holistic approach, promoting naturalistic learning environments while teaching them how to learn effectively. Our inclusive pre-K classroom fosters social-emotional development, perspective-taking, and the building of friendships with individuals from diverse backgrounds. We offer individualized programs that are integrated into learning centers, play areas, and social opportunities.

To begin the application process, please reach out to us at (860) 351-5407. We're excited to embark on this educational journey with you and your child!

This Summer Break, keep your child with autism thriving and engaged by using these 5 tips!

1. Establish a routine: Keeping a regular schedule can help kids better manage transitions, maintain focus, and feel secure.

2. Incorporate sensory activities: Sensory activities such as drawing or playing in the sand can be helpful in reducing anxiety, engaging your child and helping them to relax.

3. Spend time outdoors: Fresh air can be beneficial for kids. Take the time to enjoy outdoor activities such as a nature walk or bike ride together.

4. Participate in social activities: Look for opportunities to get your child involved in social activities such as camps, classes, and meet-ups.

5. Take a break: Don't forget to take a breather! It's important to give yourself and your child with autism the time to rest and recharge this summer.

Have an amazing Summer Break! 🌞🏖️🌊❤️

Play Time is More Than Funtime!

Play is an essential part of development for any child, but it can be especially helpful for autistic children. Playtime helps to build and strengthen social skills in autistic children, as they learn to interact and understand the world around them through play activities. It also helps to foster creativity, stimulation and independence - all important qualities that are beneficial in a child's life.

Plus, playing can help reduce stress, anxiety and other challenging behavior associated with autism spectrum disorder. So make sure you set aside time in your day to encourage play with your autistic child! It will help them grow and thrive.
