This post is LONG, but you might relate to it and find something helpful.
This is inspired by a post I saw on a page that I follow. The woman shared her own Before and After photos showing the difference between untreated and treated hypothyroidism. So I decided to compare my own.🦋
Hormonal imbalance, including thyroid disease, can be a major contributor to inflammation in the body. 🥵
I was 40 in picture on the left. I was working out every day, eating pretty clean and I actually weighed less than I do now. I was also puffy, exhausted, not sleeping well and my anxiety was through the roof.
I am about to turn 54 in the picture on the right, still working out daily, eating pretty clean and weigh at least 10 pounds MORE than I did at 40. I’m no longer puffy, I’m energetic, I sleep great and my anxiety is pretty much gone.☺️
The difference…I learned everything I could about hormonal imbalance and at 44, I found a doctor who was on the same page. He ran the right tests and knew how to interpret the results.👨⚕️🔬
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Disease and found out my estrogen, progesterone and testosterone levels were very low…HELLO PERI-MENOPAUSE! 👵🏻
I was prescribed a natural thyroid replacement as well as bio-identical hormones and several supplements and after all these years, I continue to feel better every day.⚡️
It was also at this time that I started on my non-toxic journey and sought out the cleanest products without carcinogens and endocrine disruptors. Fat cells store toxins! It’s all connected! 🌿
Hope this helps someone! 💚
