Heart & Soul Reiki by Erica Reiki Therapy is offered by Erica What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If ones "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Benefits of Reiki

The human body is designed to heal itself. When the body is imbalanced, Reiki energy can help the body's intelligence to heal. The following are a variety of ways that Reiki energy heals and restores the body to its natural state:

• Releases energy blocks which lead to disease and illness
• Helps balance or rebalance the body's systems
• Amplifies energy and lowers stress
• Gives feelings of comfort and relaxation
• Helps release emotions and assists in the process of releasing grief
• Increases awareness and creativity
• Reduces and eliminates pain
• Helps prevent illness
• Balances energy

Reiki also compliments other healing techniques such as massage therapy, reflexology and chiropractic care. Reiki is also ideal for pre and post-surgery and can shorten healing time. What is a treatment like? Treatments are performed with the individual fully clothed. They may sit in a chair or lay on a massage table. The Reiki practitioner will greet the client and have a brief consultation with them to discuss specific needs. The client will be asked to take off their shoes and lay on the massage table. While listening to relaxing music the client will take a few natural breaths as the Reiki treatment begins. The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel for healing energy but will never interfere with any healing that is taking place. The practitioner places their hands lightly on different areas of the body or slightly above the body depending on what the client prefers. The energy that is guided by the higher self will assess where there are blocks and then directs the healing energy to the blocks that are nearest to the practitioner. Sometimes when a block is released a cold or hot sensation may be felt; the client may feel an emotional release or simply nothing at all. The practitioner will complete the session by closing the energy field and allowing the client to absorb the pure natural energy.

I had some truly amazing reiki sessions today! 2 new clients who left saying they felt so much better and will be back and a returning client, who is seeing such great results coming consistently. He reported his anxiety is way down and his stomach issues he has been dealing with for a while are doing so much better. I’m truly so blessed to be able to help others feel better!

In the office for some clients today. They always say the Universe provides us what we need. I have been getting a lot more clients lately. This is right after I was questioning if I should take a step back and possibly close my business. The universe has shown me that I need to keep moving forward. There are more people who need my service. It is my passion and what I love doing. A new client started a few weeks ago and has noticed such a difference in himself after coming once a week he wants to start coming twice a week for a while. To me that speaks for itself. I guess I’m not done yet!

After going through VSG surgery and losing 110 lbs in my first 18 months, I started to realize that my doctors office did a good job with support leading up to surgery but there was really very little support for after surgery and for the years to come. I set out on a journey to be able to help others. I have become a National Board certified health and wellness coach with the purpose of supporting people navigating all aspects of bariatric surgery. Whether you are contemplating surgery, 2 days out or 5 years out I want to supporrt you. I will be offering a free virtual group coaching support group, where we can support each other, ask questions and dive into some topics. Our first free group session will be Wednesday 9/17/25 from 6:30-7:00 pm
