Keep in mind that the patient's coinsurance will also increase due to the increase in payments from Blue Cross of Mass. due to the fact that coinsurance is based on a percentage.

"UnitedHealthcare said in its second quarter earnings call that it plans to drop Medicare Advantage plans that currently serve over 600,000 users, becoming the latest health insurer to announce a scaling back of this magnitude."

Have all Advantage Plan patients call their insurance for their next steps if they are under the United Healthcare umbrella. They should have already received letters.

Congress extended COVID-era telehealth “waivers” applicable to Medicare until September 30, 2025. These were originally scheduled to end March 31, 2025. The hope is that they will extend this date again, but be sure to be aware of the September deadline.

Watch out for paper checks from Carelon. Send us copies of all the pages so we can load the new Reg and PIN codes, to be able to obtain the corresponding EOBs.

Carelon Behavioral Health is transitioning to Zelis soon. (Zelis purchased PaySpan a while back) Be sure that you are set up with Zelis to be able to obtain EOBs when the change does happen. (There is no exact date as of yet)

Health Plans Inc are changing their group numbers. They are the only insurance company that **requires** that the group number be on the claim. Please obtain any and all new Health Plans Inc. cards and forward them to us. If the new group numbers are not on the claims, it will force a denial. Thank you!
