It’s with a very heavy heart that we are set to close our doors on November 13 of this year. We are so thankful for the support of the community, patients and our employees. This has been an extremely difficult decision for us and we will truly miss being here. The last day to pick up your prescription with us will be November 12, so we recommend getting your medications filled and picked up before then. All patient prescriptions will be sent to Rite Aid on G street in Merced. We are working with them closely to ensure a smooth transition for our patients. Rite Aid is excited to work with us and plans on ensuring they have enough staff (including some of ours). Thank you again to everyone for your years of support. We are so very grateful.

Please share and add your name. Pharmacy Benefit Managers have been trying for years to make it impossible for community pharmacies to keep their doors opened. They do things such as decide which pharmacies patients can use, which medications will be covered and how much they reimburse your pharmacy. If you’ve ever been told we can’t afford to fill that medication here, it is because of their interference. We urge you to share and sign this letter to your local California legislators in support of SB 966, which seeks to regulate PBMs in the state of California. We won’t be able to survive without your support! Thank you!!!!

As your pharmacist, I do not discuss how difficult it has become to keep my pharmacy open and continue to provide care to my patients. A huge player in healthcare is the pharmacy benefitsmanagers (PBMs).

Unfortunately there was an accident yesterday that caused serious damage to our building. Luckily, no one was injured and it will not affect pharmacy operations. We will be back to business as usual tomorrow.

Change Healthcare, a pharmacy payer, has been down since yesterday and appears to still be down today. That means many patients insurance plans are not working and we are unable to process certain prescriptions. We are working with our patients to try and get them their meds while this occurs. Optum has suggested patients pay out of pocket for prescriptions while they continue to fix the problem and get reimbursed later. If this affects you please, speak to our pharmacy staff so they assist you. Thank you.
