After dropping my only child off at college, I walked back into the quietest house I’ve ever known.

The silence felt heavier than I expected. No more footsteps upstairs… no “Mom, what’s for dinner?”

If you’re stepping into this empty nest season, whether your heart feels full or a little tender, you’re not alone.

In my newest blog post, “The Quiet House: Finding Yourself in the Empty Nest,” I gently walk through a few ways to navigate this transition with grace:

• Giving yourself permission to grieve the ending

• Rediscovering connection with your spouse

• Reclaiming space in your home, one step at a time

• Watching your relationship with your child beautifully

evolve into friendship

The house may feel quiet right now, but this can be the beginning of a peaceful new chapter.

You’ve given so much love for so many years. It’s okay to gently turn some of that love back toward yourself.

I'm thrilled to share some exciting news! 🌟

Today, I get to welcome the most wonderful addition to Called2Rise LLC. My dear friend and beloved sister in Christ, Gina Kluge!
She's joining us as a gifted coach, bringing her heart for the Lord and her passion for guiding parents, teens, and young adults through life's seasons with faith, wisdom, and grace. Whether it's navigating parenting challenges with biblical truth, helping teens discover their identity in Christ, or walking alongside young adults as they step into God's calling. She is truly equipped and anointed for this work.

We've prayed together, laughed together, cried together, and grown in faith side by side for years. Having her on the team feels like the Lord Himself has brought another piece of the puzzle into place. I'm so grateful for how He's expanding this ministry through her obedience and beautiful spirit.

If you're a parent longing for Christ-centered support, a teen needing someone to listen and point you to Jesus, or a young adult seeking direction rooted in Scripture, you're going to love getting to know Gina!

Please join me in giving her a warm welcome in the comments below! 👏🙏

Tag a friend who might be blessed by her coaching, and let's shower her with love and prayers as she steps into this new season.

Ever wonder why the same event can feel crushing one day and purposeful the next? It's often the story we tell ourselves. In my latest blog, I dive into the intersection of self-talk and emotion regulation; how assigning meaning (inspired by Viktor Frankl) + filtering through truth & love (Philippians 4:8) can transform suffering. From marriage misunderstandings to trusting God's delays, sharing real stories and practical steps. Link in bio! What meaning are you assigning to your current struggle? 💭🙏

I never planned to write a divorce workbook. I just wanted to survive.

In the sleepless nights, the whispered lies of shame ("You're now 'that' statistic"), the friends who quietly faded away, and the constant ache for my child's future... One question anchored me:
How do I honor You right here, Lord, in this broken, sin-soaked storm?

Not "How do I win?" Not "How do I make them pay?" Just… how do I walk through this looking like Jesus?

That question became my lifeline. It didn't erase the grief, fear, financial terror, or church awkwardness—but it gave me a north star. Over time, Scripture studied through tears, failures repented, and grace upon grace, a path emerged.

That path, fought for in real time, became a series of blog posts on Called2Rise, and now it's expanded into a 7-week Christian workbook: Honoring God During Divorce.

This isn't about debating if divorce is ever allowed. It assumes you're already there—papers signed or imminent, reconciliation exhausted—and you're asking the harder question: Now what? How do I represent Jesus in this?

Each week includes:
• Real, anonymized stories (mine and others')
• Scripture that meets you in the exact emotion/temptation
• Heart-level reflection questions
• Practical takeaways
• Closing prayers

We cover:
• Redefining victory when the world says "get everything you can"
• Gathering prayer warriors who speak truth, not fuel anger
• Feeling every brutal emotion without letting them rule
• Letting God be your Vindicator (no collateral damage)
• Protecting children's hearts in costly, daily choices
• Building trust in God's faithfulness one remembered act at a time
• Co-parenting as a reflection of His love, not ongoing war

Plus two appendices: "Rules of Engagement" (spiritual-warfare guardrails) and safety notes for high-conflict situations.

Divorce is a thief—it steals peace, trust, time, even parts of childhood. But it cannot steal what Christ has secured.

This workbook is for the one in the thick of it right now, or for the friend who doesn't know how to pray beyond platitudes. It's written by someone who's wept over Malachi 2:16 and Psalm 34:18 in the same breath, bitten her tongue raw, trusted God when the math failed, and seen His faithfulness even when the outcome wasn't what I begged for.

You don't have to fight without light. He sees. He knows. He carries.

If this resonates, read the blog: https://www.called2rise.com/post/when-divorce-finds-you-a-christian-workbook-to-light-your-path and grab your copy on Amazon: https://a.co/d/0cMg0vpt

You're not alone. Keep going, friend. By His grace, you can honor Him even here.

Today's post offers practical, Spirit-led tools for engaging loved ones caught in that "inner fog" where actions clash with truth, and distorted narratives protect fragile hearts.

As believers, we're called to love with grace AND truth. But how do we speak into dissonance without getting entangled, without losing our peace, and without hardening hearts?

In this guide, we explore:
• Listening deeply first, creating space for the Holy Spirit to convict gently
• Asking curious, open questions instead of confrontational corrections
• Responding with soft words that turn away wrath
• Anchoring in objective truth—God's Word, facts, wise counsel—to avoid being pulled into revised realities
• Setting loving boundaries and prioritizing your sanity (peace guarding your heart)
• Surrendering outcomes to God, because restoration is His work

This isn't about winning arguments—it's about embodying Christ's humility and mercy while standing firm in truth.
If you've ever felt drained trying to communicate with someone in deep dissonance, this is for you. May we all engage with the full armor of God, trusting Him to bring light into the fog.

Trauma doesn't knock politely. It crashes in, shatters safety, rewires your body and mind, and sometimes even shakes your faith. I've lived it. I've walked clients through the deepest valleys of it. And I've seen, time and again, that God doesn't waste pain. He redeems it. Not with quick fixes or empty platitudes, but through slow, faithful transformation that conforms us more to the image of His Son (Romans 8:28-29).

Looking back, a field guide would have been nice! One that honors both the science of trauma (how it changes the brain, regulates the nervous system, processes triggers) and the truth of Scripture… So, I created one: Rise from the Ashes: A Christian Workbook and Planner for Processing Trauma and Finding Hope.

This isn't "think positive" or "pray it away." It's a structured companion to meet you in the body, mind, emotions, and spirit:
• Understand trauma's impact on the brain and nervous system
• Practical regulation tools: breathwork, grounding, Vagus nerve techniques
• Safe impactful journaling (with my go-to tip: tear-out pages for release without re-traumatization)
• Biblical affirmations to counter trauma's lies
• IFS-inspired inner parts work, inviting the Holy Spirit to heal your “exiles”
• Planners and Trackers to facilitate intentional soul-care routines, self-compassion, mood/progress trackers, and goal planning that fit real life

Trauma doesn't define you. God does. You were made to rise from the ashes into abundant life.

This workbook is designed to walk alongside therapy or coaching with a trauma-informed Christian professional, not replace it. It's the tool I wish I'd had... and the one I now share with clients ready to move from surviving to truly living.

If hope feels far off and the past keeps showing up uninvited, let this be a small lantern for your next step.

You don't have to stay in the ashes. You are called to rise.

If you've been applying the basics from my last post ("How to Live with a Narcissist Without Compromising Your Safety or Sanity") but still feel drained... you're not alone. Gray rock helps short-term, but what about long-term emotional freedom, unshakable boundaries, soul-deep care, and thriving in His strength?

In this follow-up post, I share advanced Christian strategies to:

➡️Move beyond gray rock to true detachment & radical acceptance
➡️Reframe accusations as their projections (not your truth!)
➡️Sustain boundaries with biblical wisdom (Jesus modeled this!)
➡️Regulate emotions, armor up spiritually (Eph. 6), and protect your spirit
➡️Navigate co-parenting/family ties without losing your peace
➡️Know when it's time to reassess for deeper healing or separation

This isn't about changing them—heart change is God's work. It's about equipping YOU to rise above the chaos and flourish as a child of the King (Isaiah 40:31).

⚠️Important: If abuse has turned physical or severely escalated, prioritize safety FIRST. Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or local authorities right away.

This is the foundational Truth that Called2Rise is built upon! This is why I chose to abandon the clinical mental health approach and become a Christ-centered provider. Coping skills are great, but true mental and emotional healing comes from being transformed by the Word of God.

New Year, New You…
What’s wrong with the REAL you?
The one God fearfully and wonderfully made?
Maybe that version of you just got buried under old hurts, lies you started believing, patterns that once protected you but now hold you back.
This year doesn’t have to be about becoming someone new. It can be about rising as the authentic you God always intended.
Rediscover who you were created to be.
And let your light shine so brightly that your Father in heaven is glorified.
Called2Rise can help.
