Healing doesn’t have to be piecemeal. 🤍

At Embodied Counseling, we offer intensive service packages designed for clients and families who are ready for deeper, more coordinated support — especially when traditional once-a-week therapy just isn’t enough.

Our wrap-around model can include:

✨ Individual therapy
✨ Family therapy (FBT-informed & attachment-focused)
#
✨ Meal support (in-office or community-based)
✨ Grocery store tours & real-life exposures
✨ Skills groups & process groups
✨ DBT skills for emotion regulation
✨ EMDR intensives for trauma reprocessing
✨ KAP (Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy) for breakthrough healing
✨Dietitan Support

This is concierge-style, collaborative care — built around your real life. Not just symptom reduction, but sustainable change.

Because healing from eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, and stuck patterns often requires more than one hour a week. It requires a team. It requires intention. It requires support that meets you where you are.

You don’t have to travel out of state to get high-level care. We’re bringing it right here to DFW. 🤍

If you’re ready for a more comprehensive approach, schedule a free consultation through the link in bio.

Fort Worth, meet your newest healing powerhouse. 🤍

We are SO excited to welcome Charisse to our Fort Worth team at Embodied Counseling Texas!

Charisse has worked at higher levels of eating disorder care and knows what it truly takes when healing needs to go deeper. When outpatient isn’t quite enough… when you’ve “tried everything”… when you’re ready to stop coping and actually transform — this is her lane.

She’s found her passion in helping clients break through stuck patterns using:
✨ KAP (Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy)
✨ EMDR
✨ IFS
✨ Yoga & somatic work

These aren’t surface-level tools. They’re modalities that support real, lasting change — mind, body, and nervous system.

If you’re ready to move beyond symptom management and into embodied healing, Charisse is building her Fort Worth caseload now.

Eating Disorder Awareness Week 💙

Nearly 30 million Americans will experience an eating disorder in their lifetime. Eating disorders have one of the highest mortality rates of any mental health condition, yet they often go unrecognized because they affect people of all ages, genders, races, and body sizes.

They are not phases. Not choices. Not about vanity. They are serious, complex illnesses—and early support makes a difference.

This week, we raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind anyone who is struggling that recovery is possible and you don’t have to do this alone. 💛

The scale doesn’t measure health, worth, effort, progress, or how much space you deserve… SO (respectfully) DON’T TOUCH IT!

Need a little loving-kindness meditation to carry you through this week? 💗

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, it’s the perfect time to practice offering yourself the love you so freely give to everyone else. When we turn compassion inward, we expand our capacity to show up more fully for the people we care about.

This beautiful practice comes from our Clinical Director, Beth Carpenter, who walks you through a simple, grounding meditation you can use anytime you need a reset.

Head to our blog for the full practice and details. ✨ ❤️

✨Busting myths with Embodied:✨

1. Myth - Avoiding “fear foods” helps me stay safe
Fact - Avoidance keeps fear alive. Gradual, supported exposure to feared foods reduces anxiety and increases flexibility, confidence, and freedom around eating.

2. Myth - You don’t need to eat if you’re not hungry.
Fact - Listening to hunger and fullness cues is part of intuitive eating later in recovery. In early recovery, many people use mechanical eating (eating on a schedule) to restore nutrition, regulate metabolism, and allow hunger cues to return.

3. Myth - I should be able to recover on my own if I really want to.
Fact - Eating disorders thrive in isolation. Support isn’t a weakness. It’s a treatment tool. Recovery happens faster and more sustainably with help.

4. Myth - “Good” food choices mean I’m making progress.
Fact - Recovery progress is about flexibility, adequacy, and consistency, not food morality. Being able to eat a wider range of foods is a sign of healing.

5. Myth - If my body image gets worse, recovery isn’t working.
Fact - Body image often worsens before it improves because avoidance and numbing behaviors are decreasing. This doesn’t mean you’re failing; it means you’re more aware.
