✨The Version of Me I Never Share✨
This is a photo of me that I’ve never posted before.
Tbh, it used to be really difficult for me to even look at if I am keeping it.💯
The little girl in this picture?
She needed so much more than she recieved.
She needed closeness, sensitivity, and attunement.
She needed to be asked how she felt, what she thought, what she needed.
She needed expressions of delight—not just in her performance, but in her being.
She needed safety. Protection. To be prioritized—because she was just a baby.
She needed to know that her worth had nothing to do with her weight, her clorhes her hair or how others percieved her.
That she didn’t have to shrink or hide to be accepted.
She didn’t need to perform or caretake to be loved.
She deserved to be SEEN… THEN and NOW. Hey, babygirl! 🩷
She needed someone to tell her:
“You matter. You are smart. You are allowed to take up space. You are loved—just as you are.”
I’m learning and relearning to be that person for her, for ME.
For every version of me who was never fully seen.

🌀Your turn:
Is there a younger version of you who still needs to hear something you didn’t get as a child?
What would you tell them today?
As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month:
If this resonates with you, take my lead. Post a photo of your younger self, write what that baby needed to hear, and tag me using the hashtag .
The good news is—that kid is now fully ours to reparent.
And the relearning, the reparenting? It never really stops.
It is a day-by-day, moment-by-moment, intentional, actionable choice.
With you on the journey.
In Love, Wellness, and Empowerment,
Dr. J 💛
