Intuition is the voice of the Soul – it’s our north star and inner compass that guides us forward on the awakening journey.

Without it, we can easily feel lost, stuck, or confused.

Without it, we can also become prey for spiritual predators (unethical teachers, immature or dangerous healers, cult-mentality groups, and so on).

To listen to your intuition, to trust it, you need to differentiate it from the voice of the ego.

Here are the five differences:

The ego’s voice is loud whereas intuition’s voice is often quiet.

The ego’s voice is anxiety-filled whereas intuition’s voice is calm and serene.

The ego’s voice is insecure whereas intuition’s voice is centered and authoritative.

The ego’s voice makes judgments whereas intuition’s voice makes observations.

The ego’s voice feels like it comes from a contracted and claustrophobic place whereas intuition’s voice feels like it comes from a spacious and open place inside.

Now there are a few exceptions here.

The voice of intuition can become loud and insistent if we ignore it for long enough.

Also, if we favor the voice of the ego more than the soul, we may indeed start feeling contracted and claustrophobic – it’s the divine’s way of poking us...
