🎉Meet Shawnee – one of our lovely Physician Liaisons at Momentum Spine & Joint! 🩵 We are so lucky to have her as a part of our team for over 2 years!

Get to know her:

🎶 Favorite music: I love it all. My playlist goes from Stevie Wonder to Disturbed to Lauren Daigle to Zach Bryan and everything in between.
🗺️ Favorite place to visit: It’s not about the place, it’s about the people. I can be anywhere with my husband, my dad, sister, or nephew, and I’m in my happy place.
🖋️ Hobbies: I am the definition of a jack of all trades and master of none. I enjoy trying new things and learning new crafts. Currently learning Copperplate Calligraphy ✍️
🍅 Go-to meal: Chips and salsa, all day, every day! I could live off of it!
🍽️ Favorite dessert: Sopapilla Cheesecake, hands down!
💜 Favorite color: Blue or Purple 🩵💜

💝 Fun fact: I personally come up with, create, and put together all of the goodies that I bring into your offices, and I truly enjoy it!
🩺 What medicine means to her: For most, we don’t understand and can’t comprehend the importance of medicine until we have become a patient ourselves or watched someone we love have to depend on it. We are the voices for so many people looking for answers and asking for help. I’m thankful every time I get a call saying someone felt heard or a patient was able to resume normal life after being seen by our doctors!

At Momentum Spine & Joint, our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. While we have the privilege of doing this daily through patient care, we truly cherish opportunities to extend our impact by giving back to the community 🩵

This year, we set a heartfelt goal to deepen our commitment to giving, and we are proud to support In My Shoes—an incredible organization that provides shelter and support for pregnant homeless women, allowing them to stay until nine months after childbirth.
Currently, In My Shoes is home to nine courageous mothers and seven beautiful babies, with one little one arriving tomorrow—congratulations, Diamond! 🍼

A huge thank you to our generous accounts who donated cleaning supplies this past Tuesday. Saturday, we had the honor of delivering those supplies, along with other essentials, and volunteering our morning to clean and care for the home. We left with full hearts, grateful to be part of such a meaningful cause 🧺

Special shoutout to Kristy for introducing us to this amazing organization!

Meet Dr. Bowlva Lee — Double Board Certified in Pain Management & Anesthesiology at Momentum Spine & Joint 💪
Q: What do you find most rewarding about your job?
A: When I see a patient stand up straighter or move their head or neck more easily after a procedure, it makes me feel like I’ve helped someone improve their quality of life. It reminds me that I’m doing something meaningful for the community.
Q: What made you want to get into healthcare?
A: I grew up without healthcare. Seeing family members get sick and not receive the treatment or care they needed was heartbreaking.
Q: What is your favorite hobby?
A: I work on cars for fun. I change shocks, control arms, tie rods, gaskets, alternators, brakes, fluids, hydraulics, superchargers, and more in my spare time. In fact, today after work, I’ll be working on a transmission.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: NYC Chinese food.
Q: Where did you grow up/spend your childhood?
A: I grew up mostly in Houston, TX, but also spent a lot of my childhood in NYC. Most of my family still lives in NYC and NJ. Some of my best childhood memories are from my time in New York.

There is so many it is hard to choose just one! All the amazing people I get to know and connections and memories I get to make with them. And the creativity of it, it gives me the opportunity to brainstorm and execute new ideas all the time!

What has marketing taught you?
It has taught me a lot about the importance of adaptability. No two days are the same and that is one of the best parts about marketing. 😊 It is fast paced and things are constantly changing and evolving on a daily basis. The ability to adapt ensures continued growth and effectiveness with my accounts!
