Recovery means something different for every patient who walks through our doors.

For some, it’s taking their first steps again after an injury. For others, it’s regaining the ability to speak, to complete daily tasks independently, or to return home with confidence. Sometimes, it’s simply the strength to keep going.

At Reunion, we know that recovery is not just physical, it’s emotional, personal, and deeply individual. That’s why we take the time to understand each patient’s goals and support them every step of the way with compassionate, personalized care.

What does recovery mean to you? We’d love to hear your story.

Occupational therapy is more than exercises, it’s about helping patients regain independence and confidence in their everyday lives.

At Reunion, our occupational therapists work with patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s, or other conditions to:

᛫ Rebuild daily living skills like dressing, grooming, and meal prep
᛫ Strengthen fine motor skills for tasks like writing or cooking
᛫ Adapt environments and routines to make daily activities safer and easier
᛫ Improve cognitive skills that support focus, memory, and problem-solving

Every therapy plan is tailored to the individual, helping patients return to the activities that matter most. With consistent support, small daily victories can turn into big milestones in recovery.

Spring is a time of growth, progress, and forward movement, just like recovery after a stroke, injury, or neurological diagnosis. Getting your body moving safely is an important part of regaining independence.

After inpatient rehabilitation at Reunion, patients can continue progress through activities like:
-Gentle stretching or yoga
-Light strength and balance exercises
-Walking outdoors or on a treadmill
-Adaptive sports or recreational therapy

Every step, every movement, builds confidence and supports ongoing recovery.

This season could be the start of meaningful progress.

During Heart Month ❤️, we recognized an incredible member of our Reunion Arlington team whose story is truly inspiring.

One of our Case Managers and Social Workers is not only passionate about helping patients and families navigate the recovery process, she is also a heart survivor. Born with three congenital heart defects, she has undergone four open-heart surgeries throughout her life.

Her journey has shaped the way she supports patients every day, reminding them to trust the process of recovery and find the positive even on the most difficult days.

Her story is a powerful reminder of resilience, gratitude, and the strength of the human heart.
