I founded PainMD with 17 years experience in the area of chronic pain management. I believe combining evidence-based medicine with a holistic approach to the care of the patient works best for the majority of people suffering from chronic pain. My goal is to help my patients return to maximum function and achieve a satisfactory quality of life and total mind and body well-being even in cases where pain may not be totally eradicated. Although I specialize in interventional pain medicine, my approach is comprehensive and multi-disciplinary. This includes medication management, emphasis on physical and occupational therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when indicated. I incorporate alternative medicine modalities like acupuncture as needed.
