Training covers trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, confidentiality, legal remedies, cultural competence, and preparing advocates to support survivors during medical forensic exams.

The Turning Point’s Forensic Nursing Department offers a Clinical Skills Lab Training where nurses who are pursuing SANE Certification can learn the hands-on skills needed to perform sexual assault exams. We covered trauma informed care principles, core components of the SANE exam, pelvic examination techniques, and evidence collection procedures. Participants then engaged in hands on practice using simulation equipment and live models to reinforce these skills.

Join us on May 7–8, August 27–28, or October 8–9 at our Plano office. Plus, virtual Trauma-Informed Care Training will be held from 1 PM–3 PM on Thursdays prior to training dates.
