What’s the value of a good night’s rest? For 15-year-old Anna and her mom, it meant getting their joy back. ❤️

Anna, who has Down syndrome, struggled with obstructive sleep apnea for most of her life. The lack of restful sleep left her tired and affected her mood and behavior. Searching for a solution, Anna’s mom discovered a clinical study for the Inspire Therapy Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator – a breakthrough treatment for children with Down syndrome and sleep apnea.

Thanks to the ENT team and Sleep Disorders Program at Children's Health, Anna was able to receive this life-changing procedure. The difference was immediate. Her mom says it felt like she got her daughter’s bright and happy personality back. Now, Anna has the energy to do the things she loves most, like solving puzzles and cooking Italian meatballs with her mom.
