As a therapist, my ethical foundation is clear: do no harm.
In alignment with our professional ethics, my role is to promote client welfare, protect safety, and avoid practices that cause harm...whether intentional or unintentional.
Therapy is not value-neutral. When beliefs or ideologies contribute to harm, dehumanization, or the erosion of safety for others, ethical care requires reflection, challenge, and accountability, not silence.
I do not exist to affirm all beliefs. I exist to provide care that upholds dignity, minimizes harm, and supports psychological safety, especially for those most impacted.
If my values around safety, equity, and human dignity are not aligned with yours, I may not be the right clinician for you, and that boundary itself is part of ethical practice.
This is how I practice with integrity.
