Tune in LIVE for a new tip today on the series, "TOP Travel Tips for YOU in 2025"

Today we have a Special Guest Speaker Linda Adler, Born in Germany, and growing up in the USA, she earned a Master’s Degree in International Marketing from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and went as far as studying Mandarin Chinese on a scholarship at the National Taiwan Normal University.

As an accomplished IT Account Manager at DXC Technology, she helps clients communicate effectively in the global marketplace by developing and applying innovative solutions and services. She works in a cross-functional, global team, managing websites, digital and print campaigns, collateral, and events in
30+ languages.

She is a creative thinker, and lucid analyst and shines at cross-cultural communication which makes her an asset as VP and Publicity Chair for the Plano International Festival (PIF). This free, family-friendly event attracts up to 23,000 visitors in one day by celebrating diversity and inclusion through programs features, and monthly cultural events that meet the needs of the community and offer everyone in North Texas an opportunity to enjoy and learn from each other’s cultures. Linda brings her wide-ranging skills in public relations, graphic design, and cross-cultural communication to writing press releases and articles, creating promotional material and advertisements, and contacting the local diverse media for publicity and coverage of the event.

She is always proactive in thinking and helping to implement constant improvements, adding new activities from year to year that she feels will greatly benefit the community. For example, in 2008, ahead of her time, she pioneered Green award-winning festival initiatives such as the Zero Waste program, which
reduces the festival's environmental impact through waste reduction, recycling, and composting. For some time, this had even been adopted by the City of Plano for their events. Last year, this program allowed the festival to divert 97% of waste generated from the landfill!

Here are just some of the many ways Linda has applied her skills and passions to serve her community:
o 10 years volunteering for Andrews Elementary PTA Multicultural Committee, nominated for the 2010
Plano ISD Diversity Leadership Award.
o 14 years volunteering with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, fostering leadership, community involvement,
and personal growth. Under her mentorship, 5 out of 7 earned their Gold Award, the highest level of
achievement.
o Since 2006 (18 years!), she has worked tirelessly as a committee member or Board member of the Plano International Festival (PIF), the largest, longest-running multicultural event in North Texas. She truly is the righthand woman to the President, is a great team member, and knows how to translate her professional knowledge such as creative thinking and analytical skills in all areas.

Their mission is to Celebrate Plano’s cultural diversity, Raise awareness of the city’s many ethnic communities, Build bridges between cultural groups, and Strengthen our community

You can find them on all main Social Media Platforms - FaceBook, Instagram, Linked In, YouTube and their website is https://www.planointernationalfestival.org

She will be speaking on the celebrating their 21st year with and one of the top

My question to you is “Where is your favorite family destination or event to embrace international culture?"

What hinders forgiveness?

Forgiveness is the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven. Involves willfully putting aside feelings of resentment toward someone who has committed a wrong, been unfair or hurtful, or otherwise harmed you in some way. Forgiveness is not merely accepting what happened or ceasing to be angry.

Forgiveness means different things to different people. But in general, it involves an intentional decision to let go of resentment and anger. The act that hurt or offended you.

Psychologists generally define forgiveness as a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness.

Forgiveness means different things to different people. But in general, it involves an intentional decision to let go of resentment and anger. The act that hurt or offended you might always be with you. But working on forgiveness can lessen that act's grip on you.

Focusing on the negative aspects of another person's behavior towards you, may cause you to lose sight of their good qualities and restrict your perspective, making forgiveness more challenging

The greatest act of forgiveness was Jesus dying on the cross for the sins of the world. For everyone that accepts Jesus as savior they do not have to go to hell when they die. Jesus forgives past sins at baptism and Jesus forgives the present/future sins at death.

A Simple Prayer - Jesus, I believe you love me. Please forgive me for my sins. Help me to be a better person. Amen.

Jesus speaks of forgiveness beyond what anyone had ever considered before: seventy times seven! Many commentaries understand this to mean that Jesus was telling Peter that he should forgive his brother a limitless number of times.

Matthew 6:14 - "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

Ephesians 4:31 & 32 - "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice." "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

Luke 11:4 - "Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation"

This Special Tribute is in Remembrance to my baby brother Frankie - Sherrill Franklin Maynard, III as he is now seated at our Fathers table with Christ Jesus celebrating everlasting life.

What best describes endurance?

Endurance is the fact or power of enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way. It is the ability to keep doing something difficult, unpleasant, or painful for a long time.

Endurance (also related to sufferance, forbearance, resilience, constitution, fortitude, persistence, tenacity, steadfastness, perseverance, stamina, and hardiness) is the ability of an organism to exert itself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from.

Endurance activities, often referred to as aerobic, increase your breathing and heart rates. These activities help keep you healthy, improve your fitness, and help you perform the tasks you need to do every day. Endurance exercises improve the health of your heart, lungs, and circulatory system.

Overall, endurance training is good for health but may become deleterious when performed at high intensity or volume.

In life’s challenging moments, endurance becomes a vital quality. The Bible is rich with verses that encourage believers to persevere, remain steadfast, and endure through hardships.

We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. The Bible considers endurance to be a priority and a vital part of Christian development. The Bible also says that endurance is gained through pain and discipline. It is a loving gift from God that comes in a package that seems painful rather than pleasant.

Romans 5:3-5: This verse says that when troubles come, they should be seen as an opportunity to grow in endurance, which in turn leads to character and hope.

Hebrews 10:36: This verse says that endurance is necessary to receive what was promised by God.

Colossians 1:10-12: This verse calls for endurance and patience with joy.
