Weโ€™re especially grateful for our incredible Mexican team members, whose dedication, compassion, and culture enrich our workplace every day.

๐ŸŒŸ March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month ๐ŸŒŸ

Did you know that colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, yet it still claims thousands of lives every year? This month, we are shining a light on the importance of early detection, healthy lifestyle choices, and supporting those battling this disease. ๐Ÿ’™

Hereโ€™s how you can get involved:
โœ… Get Screened - Regular screenings can save lives. If you're 45+, itโ€™s time to talk to your doctor.
โœ… Know the Signs - Be aware of symptoms like changes in bowel habits, persistent stomach discomfort, or unexplained weight loss.
โœ… Spread the Word - Share this post and raise awareness in your community.
โœ… Support Fighters & Survivors - Offer your encouragement to those affected by colon cancer.
โœ… National Dress in Blue Day โ€“ The national holiday was started to raise awareness about the causes of colon cancer and how to prevent it. This year, Dress in Blue Day is on Friday, March 7.
โœ… DFW Event โ€“ Get Your Rear in Gear โ€“ Fort Worth 5k Run/Walk: Saturday, March 08, 2025 | Trinity Park.

Letโ€™s take action together. Early detection is key, and every bit of awareness helps! ๐Ÿ’ช

Bringing awareness to colon cancer prevention is a cornerstone of my GI practice. This is one of the few cancers that screening can prevent. Subsequently, I always want to inform others about local events supporting colon cancer awareness to keep getting screened top of mind. If you have a personal connection to this cancer or want to help efforts delivering support to those impacted by this disease, there is a family-friendly walk on 11/09/24 in Arlington that everyone can participate in. For those interested in this walk, please use this link for more information: https://impact.ccalliance.org/event/2024-dfw-walk-to-end-colon-cancer/e551636.
