Things to say to your massage therapist:
That feels great!
Are you on your phone?
More pressure please

It’s too hot
I’m cold
You have a hang nail
Can I get some peppermint oil to open my nose?
I’d like more time spent on hands, feet, back or whatever you’d like more time on.
Don’t touch my feet
I don’t like that, can we move on?
I have high or low blood pressure
I’m pregnant
Can I get music with no words
I need to go p*e! Please don’t hold it. I will not deduct time
No candles or smells that you don’t like
Can I get more time?
Please go slower with the pace of the massage

We as therapist want feed back. It’s your session. We are a bunch of people pleasers and we love making you happy.

We are not good at mind reading and expecting a therapist to “know what’s wrong” will make the session less enjoyable for you. It’s a lot like standing in front of a Dr and saying “if you’re a good Dr, you’ll figure out what’s wrong with me”
