Spring cleaning isn’t just for closets—your joints could use a reset too. 😉🌷
This March, try focusing on 3 simple habits:

1️⃣ A realistic daily walking goal (even 5–10 extra minutes counts)
2️⃣ Strength training 2x/week to support your knees, hips, and back
3️⃣ A little balance work so you feel steadier on your feet

You don’t have to overhaul your whole life to feel a difference. Small, consistent steps can help your joints feel better heading into spring.

If pain is getting in the way, our team at Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center is here to help.

⚾️ 24 years of Spring Training and counting.

Dr. Troop just returned from another unforgettable trip to Texas Rangers Spring Training in Surprise, Arizona — a tradition he’s kept going since 2003.

That’s more than two decades of watching the game, supporting the team, and being part of the excitement that builds each season.

Ever catch yourself late-night Googling ortho questions and still feeling confused? 👀
You are so not alone.

At Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, we hear the same big questions every day from patients all over Plano and DFW — from first-time injuries to people preparing for joint replacement surgery. Our fellowship-trained surgeons and specialists are here for all of it.

In this carousel, we’re talking through some of the top questions we’re getting in 2026:
➡️ Will I set off airport security with my joint replacement?
➡️ How long until I can drive after surgery?
➡️ Can PRP or other injections really delay a knee replacement?

Here’s the thing: no question is a bad question.
If you’re wondering it, someone else is too — and we’d rather you ask us than worry in silence or rely on random search results.
👉 Comment below and tell us which question you want to see as a reel next, or drop a new question you’ve been holding onto.

If pain or an old injury is starting to control your day, our team at Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center is here to help you get moving again: www.posmc.com | 972-250-5700.

Ever gone for “just one more game” of pickleball… and your ankle, shoulder, or knee paid the price the next day? 😅🏓
We’re seeing more and more players come in with:
🔹 Ankle sprains from quick side steps
🔹 Wrist injuries from trying to catch a fall
🔹 Achy shoulders from serves and overhead shots
🔹 Knee strains or meniscus tears from all that twisting and lunging

You don’t have to give up the game you love—but your joints need a little protection: warm up, wear supportive shoes, and don’t play through sharp or lingering pain.
If that “pickleball soreness” isn’t going away, our team at Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine is here to help you get back on the court safely.

Our Story

Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center has a culmination of more than 40 years of memories and experiences providing thousands upon thousands of surgeries and conservative care treatments that have helped patients get on the road to recovery. Our tagline is “the right way forward” it is who we are at the core in everything we do.

Since day one, our people and patients have always come first. Regardless of pressures and constraints we’ve all felt from the ever-changing and uncertain healthcare industry, we’ve held true to people over profit, ensuring personal, thorough care is provided with the patients’ long-term health in mind.

We don’t have generalists, we have 12 board-certified, fellowship-trained specialists which is not something you’ll find in many other orthopedic practices. We provide same-to-next-day appointments because we have multiple board-certified doctors for each specialty area.

Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center is committed to always evolving with the latest medical treatments and advancements, but will never lose sight of the thoughtful approach, time and compassionate, quality care we provide our patients in helping them heal. “The right way forward” is what makes us different from the many other orthopedic facilities in North Texas. We listen and understand what is most important to the families and athletes in our community and have always modeled how we operate around what matters most to them. Learn more about what sets us apart and contact Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center today!
