Ever feel your finger catch, pop, or get stuck when you try to make a fist? 👋
That’s exactly what was happening to this patient before Dr. Le stepped in.
In this reel, you’ll see a peek inside a trigger finger release surgery for someone who literally couldn’t make a full fist without their fingers locking.
🚩 Pay attention if you notice:
• Finger locking or “popping”
• Pain or a little bump in your palm
• Trouble making a full fist
If that sounds familiar, don’t just “live with it.” Our hand specialists at Plano Orthopedic can help. 💙

🚫 Myth BUSTED by Dr. Dawn Grosser: “If you can walk on it, it’s not broken.”
Dr. Grosser’s seen it so many times — patients walking on fractures 😳 …but barely able to put weight on a severe sprain. So don’t “test it” and assume you’re fine just because you can hobble around.
If you twist it, land wrong, or feel sharp pain… start here 👇
R.I.C.E. (and here’s why it matters):
Rest = protects the injury from getting worse
Ice = calms pain + helps reduce swelling
Compression = limits swelling + supports the joint
Elevation = helps fluid drain so swelling goes down faster
Still unsure? Don’t guess — get it checked.
Book an appointment at www.posmc.com
👇 Tell us: have you (or someone you know) ever walked on something that turned out to be broken?

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Today, we’re taking time to reflect on that question as a team at Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center. 💙
Every day, we have the privilege of helping people walk with less pain, get back to work, return to the field, or simply enjoy time with their families again. On MLK Day, we’re especially grateful for the chance to serve our community in these ways.
We invite you to join us in honoring Dr. King’s legacy — whether that’s through a kind gesture, a moment of reflection, or an act of service in our Plano and DFW community.

If you’re having shoulder or elbow surgery (or recovering now), don’t sleep on Vitamin C 🍊
It supports collagen production—a key building block for tendons/ligaments—and because your body doesn’t store it, staying consistent matters. Some studies suggest 500 mg twice daily may help with post-op pain and tendon healing (ask your surgeon what’s right for you).

If you’re in pain, reach out to Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine today at 972-250-5700 or book online at www.posmc.com.

Our Story

Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center has a culmination of more than 40 years of memories and experiences providing thousands upon thousands of surgeries and conservative care treatments that have helped patients get on the road to recovery. Our tagline is “the right way forward” it is who we are at the core in everything we do.

Since day one, our people and patients have always come first. Regardless of pressures and constraints we’ve all felt from the ever-changing and uncertain healthcare industry, we’ve held true to people over profit, ensuring personal, thorough care is provided with the patients’ long-term health in mind.

We don’t have generalists, we have 12 board-certified, fellowship-trained specialists which is not something you’ll find in many other orthopedic practices. We provide same-to-next-day appointments because we have multiple board-certified doctors for each specialty area.

Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center is committed to always evolving with the latest medical treatments and advancements, but will never lose sight of the thoughtful approach, time and compassionate, quality care we provide our patients in helping them heal. “The right way forward” is what makes us different from the many other orthopedic facilities in North Texas. We listen and understand what is most important to the families and athletes in our community and have always modeled how we operate around what matters most to them. Learn more about what sets us apart and contact Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center today!
