Spinal Adjustment Therapy (SAT) for Patients With Low Back Pain (LBP) Results In Less Opioid Use: In this retrospective cohort study, adults receiving SAT for LBP with or without sciatica had a significantly lower risk of developing an opioid use disorder over a 2-year follow-up compared to those prescribed ibuprofen.

Takeaway: In the long-term, chiropractic care reduces opioid drug use.
