My client surprised me with this awesome jersey today! He was dedicated to getting back on the field. He put in so much work to be healthy this year! He spent all of last season on injured list with severe . When he came in, he could not come close to touching his knees without pain and no chance of touching his toes. Now he’s able to cut, bend, and do all he needs to be ready for camp to earn his spot this year!

Did you know that highly functioning muscles that can generate a lot of force are key to how you can feel and move? So many people think high reps of "core/abdominal" work make the core strong. Long planks, lots of sit-ups. These increase endurance, but endurance does not make you stronger and able to tolerate more force!

Got a young athlete with aches & pains? Or are you just one of us regular joes who is having trouble doing daily tasks as easily & with more and more discomfort?
The musculo/skeletal system has all sorts of ways it’s trying to tell us about warning signs. One of them is asymmetrical ROM. This young man came in with arm pain. Using Greg Roskopf's Muscle Activation Techniques, we looked at his ROM screen and found these two big differences. We then checked how those muscles were performing and corrected what was lacking and his increased stability added ROM and his discomfort was gone!!

While those are important, it’s crucial that their program heavily build a firm foundation control ownership of their body! Most of the youth I see, are injured because of their “sports training” rather than helped by it.
