not to beat a dead horse here, but eyelid closure should NOT be compromised in any cosmetic eyelid surgery. this is first and foremost the function of your eyelids - to protect and cover your precious eyes and vision.

her surgeon took the aggressive approach and sheโ€™s probably suffering from dry eye, indicated by all the overexposed white sclera and excavated look.

leave your eyelids in the hands of an oculofacial plastic surgeon. please.

did you ever wonder about fettyโ€™s left eye? as an oculofacial plastic surgeon, itโ€™s a bit of an occupational hazard looking at eyes ๐Ÿ‘€

he lost his left eye to congenital as a child, and consequently his eye was surgically removed to alleviate pain. we typically have patients fitted for a cosmetic prosthesis that fits like a thick acrylic contact lens under the eyelids. these prostheses are expertly painted by an ocularist to simulate the appearance of the other eye.
