🔹These can be indicated for those who have:
- fibroids
- abnormal bleeding
- endometriosis
- ovarian cysts
- pelvic pain
- cancer prevention diagnosis (pre-cancerous or pre-malignant)
🔹Robotic hysterectomies are minimally invasive and are 4very small incisions on the abdomen
🔹Recovery is 2 weeks at home (compared to 4 weeks w/ abdominal surgery) and 2 weeks light duty

•A peanut ball is an exercise or birthing ball shaped like a peanut
💡 Benefits During Labor
•Opens the pelvis: Helps widen the pelvic diameter, promoting fetal descent.
•Encourages dilation: Can speed up labor by helping with cervical dilation.
•Reduces cesarean rates: Especially helpful for people with an epidural, decreasing the need for C-section.
•Improves fetal positioning: Aids in rotating a posterior baby to anterior.
•Shortens first and second stages of labor.
📍 How It’s Used
•Most often used when the birthing person has an epidural and is lying in bed.
🤍Common positions:
•Side-lying with the peanut ball between the knees or ankles.
•Semi-sitting or reclining with the ball under one knee.
