We are living in an “interesting” time in history, so if are starting to have doubts about vaccines, please come in.
We will provide you with info, rooted on evidence-based medicine, to help you make decisions on how to best care for your child. 🥰
Did you know the very first vaccine your baby should get is the hepatitis B vaccine at birth? Here’s why it’s so important not to delay ⬇️
👉 Sometimes we don’t know a mother’s status. Even with testing during pregnancy, mistakes can happen, false negatives occur, or the mother may contract hepatitis B later in pregnancy and not know it. Giving the vaccine right at birth protects the baby immediately.
👉 Babies can be exposed in other ways too. Hepatitis B spreads through blood and body fluids. Even small household exposures matter, like a shared toothbrush, a tiny cut, or contact with an infected caregiver (daycare, babysitter, nanny, other family members). Hepatitis B can survive on surfaces for up to 7 days, making accidental transmission possible.
👉 Why act early? Because babies are at highest risk.
• 90% of infants infected at birth develop chronic hepatitis B.
• Up to 25% of children with chronic infection will eventually die from cirrhosis or liver cancer.
• Hepatitis B can lead to lifelong liver damage, liver failure, or even death.
👉 The vaccine is safe. It’s been studied for decades, used worldwide, and is proven to prevent infection and its devastating complications. Serious side effects are extremely rare, while the protection it offers is lifesaving.
When it comes to your child’s health, trust experts and evidence-based data, not untrained voices with personal agendas.
Vaccines save lives.
Protect your newborn from the very beginning. 💙
