Healing is relational. It happens in the presence of people who feel safe, the
ones who let you drop the masks and be yourself without judgement. Safe relationships are a powerful teacher, communicating to your body that it is okay to show up exactly as you are. The experience of being seen and still accepted is a foundational form of healing.

Let us help you find that safe, therapeutic relationship. Contact the Counseling Center of North Texas to learn more about our services.

Happy Monday! Start your week with this powerful affirmation: I celebrate all of who I
am.

Radical self-acceptance is revolutionary. It means recognizing your strengths and
acknowledging your imperfections; it’s embracing the whole, complex human that you are. You are enough, just as you are right now. Give yourself the gift of love and
appreciation today.

Healing is not about speed, but about progress.

This is one of the most vital lessons we share at the start of a new year.

When we set mental health goals, it’s easy to get discouraged if we don’t see immediate
results. But healing and growth are not linear races; they are journeys of consistent,
gentle effort. Progress could be setting a small boundary, acknowledging a difficult
emotion, or simply showing up for yourself. If you are struggling to recognize your progress, remember that our therapists are here to help you slow down, see the small
victories, and honor your pace. Focus on moving forward, one intentional step at a time.

As the final hours of the year tick away, let’s resist the urge to rush into resolutions. Take
a moment today for a powerful practice we call Conscious Closure. This isn’t about
listing successes, but about asking: What can I intentionally leave behind in 2025? Is it a self-limiting belief, a disappointment, or a heavy burden you no longer need to carry?
Practicing release makes space for a lighter, more present start to the new year. Give
yourself permission to let go. Our team is here to support you in processing and moving forward, no matter what 2026 brings. Happy New Year’s Eve!

Perfectionism is a silent thief of joy, especially during the high-pressure holidays.

This season, prioritize connection and ease over flawless ex*****on. True mental well-being comes from accepting that your gatherings or plans might not go exactly as
planned and that is perfectly okay. Relax into the imperfect moments and enjoy the
spirit of the season!

This week often brings extra excitement, heightened emotions, and a lot of activity.
Before you dive into the hustle and bustle, take a breath.

Today’s affirmation: “I am capable of holding space for both joy and rest this week.”

Give yourself permission to fully enjoy the celebratory moments and to step away for
moments of quiet self-care. Your well-being is the foundation for a truly joyful time.
