This is what life looks like when you no longer think about your nose and nobody is looking at your nose!!

This wonderful patient is one year out from her primary rhinoplasty and is thrilled with her result. She is more confident and we couldn’t be happier for her.

She had an overprojected nose with thin skin and this combination is one of the most challenging in rhinoplasty. We were able to reduce the size of her nose and produce a natural result that will last a lifetime.

We recently saw our lovely patient back 2 years after her revision rhinoplasty. She came to see me after a previous septoplasty and 2 failed rhinoplasties. She felt like her nose was still big, crooked and she could not breathe.

She is now fully healed and loving smaller, straighter and more functional nose.

Her case was made more difficult by the fact that she has thin skin. It is critical in these cases to augment the soft tissue envelope to camouflage the underlying bone and cartilage structure.

Patients often ask, “Is my case considered difficult?” I’m always honest in my assessment and explain what aspects of their case present as challenges, what can be counted as positives and explain that there are always surprises.

This busy mom and professional woman recently returned for her one year follow-up visit after primary and her case presented several challenges:
- thin skin
- crooked nose due to bone and septal deviation
- high radix

Any one of these factors makes a case more challenging but when all 3 exist in a patient desiring a smaller, cuter nose then it becomes a very difficult primary rhinoplasty.
