Patients often ask, “Is my case considered difficult?” I’m always honest in my assessment and explain what aspects of their case present as challenges, what can be counted as positives and explain that there are always surprises.

This busy mom and professional woman recently returned for her one year follow-up visit after primary and her case presented several challenges:
- thin skin
- crooked nose due to bone and septal deviation
- high radix

Any one of these factors makes a case more challenging but when all 3 exist in a patient desiring a smaller, cuter nose then it becomes a very difficult primary rhinoplasty.

We are both very pleased with the result. I’m grateful she allowed us to share her pics as there are many patients out there with similar problems wondering if they can achieve their goals with rhinoplasty.

This lovely patient is now one year out from . She is a busy professional woman and mom and had been researching for several years.

She wanted to correct her bulbous tip and desired a softer, more balanced nose overall. A natural result was important. She has relatively thin skin.

She had a previous septoplasty and so rib cartilage was needed for grafting material.

Rhinoplasty does not always have to be a dramatic change to be impactful.

Our lovely patient was looking for subtle enhancement of her natural beauty and is now one year out from her rhinoplasty.

We made changes to her nose to create appropriate curves and contours. The result is a softer nose with a more feminine shape.

I get this question at least once a day from patients seeking a smaller, more defined nose.

It is possible!!
