It was an honor to celebrate and connect with the wonderful people of the Plano, Allen, and McKinney communities we proudly serve. Thank you for the warm support and fellowship—we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Today, all across the country, we celebrate the powerful legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

What many people may not know is that African American funeral homes also played a meaningful role in shaping the Civil Rights Movement. These establishments were often safe spaces—places of refuge, planning, and community when segregation closed so many other doors.

Here’s an interesting historical fact: on their wedding night, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King spent the night in a friend’s funeral home because they were not welcomed at any hotel in town due to the color of their skin.
This history reminds us of the resilience, dignity, and strength that built our communities and helped move this nation forward.

He came dressed in our signature Steven G. Hill Green today, and we are here for it! We love Pastor Joshua and appreciate his presence, his spirit, and his style.
