The Boots & Bling Sensory Prom is an opportunity for DFW Junior and Seniors with special needs to have a night to remember.

Oftentimes, physical, psychological or emotional limitations make attending a traditional prom impossible for special needs students. LIFE Community Enrichment (501c3), in partnership with Panther Pride (a special needs organization at Plano East High School) held the first Sensory Prom last year at PESH.

Due to the tremendous success of that event, we have taken the event "off campus" to open it up to special needs students in other districts. Among the things that make our Prom different is how the event is lit, the volume of music, the security/volunteer presence, and the food we provide.

This year's event will be on March 4th at Cross Creek Ranch in Parker.

Ensure you have the tools you need to keep your smile healthy and brackets clean wherever you go!

It's National Children's Dental Health Month, which means it's a great time to brush up on the benefits of good oral hygiene!

It's the last Monday of 2022! Let's end the year on a high note.

12/23/2022 - Plano Overnight Warming Station will be Open TODAY, Friday, December 23, and remain open throughout the day tomorrow, December 24.

The Warming Station is located at The Salvation Army - Plano, 3528 E. 14th St., Plano, TX 75074.

The doors are now open.

Because most of the guests have remained at the warming station today, buses will not resume pickups until the hours of 6:30PM-9PM from the DART Parker Road Station. Therefore, the buses will only make occasional rounds at that time.

(Because of construction, there will be no pickups from Harrington Library at this time.)

The Warming Station doors close at 10 PM. Later guests are only let in with a police es**rt.

NOTE: The Warming Station will also remain open throughout the day tomorrow. Guests who do not have work or other obligations do not have to leave and may remain there throughout the next night.

The Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS) provides short-term emergency housing to those in our community who would otherwise be sleeping outside during freezing weather.
