Nearly one in four U.S. adults experience mental health issues annually, with anxiety and depression being the most common. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness month, BayCare is shining a light on the need to reduce stigma and advocate for greater access to mental health resources by illuminating each of our 16 hospitals in green throughout the month of May. South Florida Baptist Hospital is proud to do our part to raise awareness and display this meaningful reminder of the importance of compassionate mental health care. https://baycare.org/specialties-and-treatments/behavioral-health

was a perfect reminder to take better care of your skin as we head into sunnier summer days. According to the American Cancer Society, melanoma accounts for only about 1% of skin cancers but it is the deadliest. This year, about 112,000 new melanomas will be diagnosed in the United States. More than 8,500 people are expected to die from the disease. South Florida Baptist Hospital was among several BayCare hospitals that offered free skin cancer screenings to mark Melanoma Monday, the first Monday in May.
