Perimenopause doesn’t care about your resolutions.

January has a way of revealing what’s been simmering beneath the surface for months.
Not dramatic changes-just the patterns you start to notice when you’re paying attention.
You’re more tired in the mornings, even though you’re going to bed earlier.
Your mood is swinging more than it used to.
You wake up at 2 or 3AM for no clear reason.
And the supplements and strategies that used to work suddenly take more effort to maintain.
These aren’t signs of inconsistency.
They’re early markers of perimenopause hormone shifts that make energy, mood, sleep, and stress resilience harder to predict.
Most women try to push through, assuming they just need better habits or more discipline.
But once you understand what your estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, and sleep cycles are actually doing, the whole picture changes.
Your body stops feeling confusing.
Your symptoms start making sense.
If the new year already feels harder to navigate than you expected, it may be time to look beneath the surface.
→ Curious whether your hormones are contributing?
Start with a personal evaluation and a clearer understanding of what your body needs right now.

GLP-1 medications (like semaglutide or tirzepatide) slow down how quickly food moves through the stomach. That delay can also affect how well birth control pills are absorbed.
This means your pill may not provide the
level of pregnancy protection you expect.
Safer contraception options during GLP-1
therapy may include:
• Non-oral contraceptives (IUD, implant, injection, vaginal ring, patch)
• Temporary backup methods during GLP-1 dose adjustments
Your health goals, weight, hormones, family planning deserve to work together, not against each other.
If you’re using oral contraception and considering GLP-1 therapy, we can work with you to identify the safest strategy for both weight loss and family planning.

weight loss and contraceptive plans today. 954-900-3127

“Is this perimenopause?”
It’s one of the most common questions women
ask. Yet one of the least clearly answered.
Perimenopause can start years before your final period, often in your late 30s or early 40s, but it isn’t always obvious.
One woman notices hot flashes. Another has
only insomnia and irritability.
A third just feels “off” but can’t explain why.
The confusing part? Those same symptoms can mimic stress, thyroid imbalance, or even nutrient depletion.
That’s why guessing doesn’t work. Testing, careful listening, and the right clinical lens is what makes the difference.
If you’ve wondered whether your symptoms are
“just stress” or something more, we can help you find out.

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and sensed that your face feels different, you’re not alone. Many of my patients share this feeling. That’s where a consultation can be invaluable. It helps you understand the natural changes occurring and explore personalized options to help you look and feel your best.

Our beautiful patient is in love with her progress from our in-office skin treatments and medical grade skin care! We are only partially through her skin treatment series, but this patient has already seen a new radiance heading into 2026! ✨

Estrogen isn’t a single hormone. It’s a trio!
💎 Estradiol (E2): dominant before menopause, driving cycle health, mood, bone density, and sexual function.
🌸 Estriol (E3): lower potency, protective for tissues, especially in pregnancy and for vaginal health.
🔥 Estrone (E1): takes the lead after menopause, less potent but still affects fat distribution and overall balance.
Understanding which form is most active helps explain why symptoms (and solutions) change over time.

Last week, the FDA removed the black box warnings from hormone replacement therapies. Those black box warnings, which were there for many years, discouraged a lot of women from using HRT, even after great studies showed that HRT did not cause the symptoms and side effects they said it did.

Better formulation of hormones and hormone replacement can improve symptoms of peri/menopause and decrease a woman’s risk of heart disease, which is the number one killer of women. This is a win for women’s healthcare.
