🍂 Fall Foods for Hormone Balance 🍂

Seasonal eating isn’t just delicious—it can also support your hormones naturally. This fall, try adding these nutrient-packed foods to your plate:

✨ Pumpkin & Squash – rich in fiber and vitamin A to support healthy cycles
✨ Apples – packed with antioxidants to reduce inflammation
✨ Brussels Sprouts & Cruciferous Veggies – help the body process estrogen
✨ Beets – support liver detox and blood flow
✨ Cinnamon – balances blood sugar and reduces cravings
✨ Walnuts – a great source of omega-3s for hormone production

When you align your diet with the season, you’re not just nourishing your body—you’re helping your hormones stay balanced, too. 🍏🥗

DID YOU KNOW?

Urinary incontinence affects twice as many women as men — and life stages like pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause play a big role. One of the biggest triggers? Caffeine.

If you’re dealing with bladder issues or overactive bladder symptoms, reducing caffeine to under 100mg a day (about one cup of coffee) can make a big difference.

🚫 Drinks to cut back on:
• Coffee, energy drinks, and black teas
• Acidic fruit juices (like orange or cranberry)
• Alcohol
• Carbonated drinks
• Drinks with artificial sweeteners

👉 Don’t go cold turkey!
Start by mixing half-decaf with regular coffee, or switch to milder juices like apple or pear to avoid withdrawal headaches. Small changes = big relief. 💧

Ever feel moody, bloated, foggy, or just off — and you’re not sure why?

👉 It could be your gut-hormone connection calling for backup.

Your gut doesn’t just digest food — it helps regulate hormones like estrogen, cortisol, and serotonin. When your gut is out of balance (think: inflammation, food sensitivities, poor digestion), your hormones may go on a rollercoaster ride… and so do your energy, mood, skin, and periods.

At , I help you take the guesswork out of your symptoms with advanced testing and personalized plans that bring your whole system back into harmony.

🎗️ July is Fibroid Awareness Month

Did you know that up to 70-80% of women will develop fibroids by the age of 50?

Fibroids are non-cancerous growths of the uterus that can cause:

• Heavy or prolonged periods
• Pelvic pain or pressure
• Bloating or frequent urination
• Difficulty getting pregnant

🔍 Dr. Krista Kant’s Tip:

Don’t ignore symptoms just because they’re common. “Normal for you” doesn’t always mean healthy. If your period is impacting your quality of life, it’s time for a conversation.

There are many treatment options—from lifestyle changes to non-surgical procedures. Early detection = more choices.

📍I’m here to listen, support, and guide you through your options.

Is it safe to skip your period?
Short answer: Yes—with the help of birth control.

With summer vacations coming up, the last thing you want is your cycle crashing your plans. Birth control pills and rings are safe and effective ways to skip your period. They work by thinning the uterine lining and stopping ovulation, so there’s nothing to shed.

The best part? You’re in control. You can skip your period for a month, several months, or even year-round—whatever works best for your body and your lifestyle.

Talk to your OB/GYN to see if it’s the right option for you and how to use it safely.

Postpartum Hair Loss: What’s Normal & What to Expect 💇‍♀️✨
If you’re noticing more hair in your brush or shower drain after having a baby — you’re not alone. Postpartum hair loss is a completely normal and common experience for many new moms.

Let’s break it down 👇
📅 During pregnancy: Estrogen increases, keeping your hair in a growth phase — making it look thicker and fuller.
👶 At birth: Estrogen and progesterone drop quickly, causing many hair follicles to shift out of the growth phase.
🗓 1 week postpartum: Hormones start to rebalance, but shedding hasn’t kicked in just yet.
🗓 3 months postpartum: This is when many women notice significant shedding — especially around the hairline.
🗓 6 months postpartum: Hair starts growing back, but may appear finer or thinner at first.

💡 What you can do:
• Be gentle when brushing and washing
• Keep taking your prenatal vitamins
• Focus on a nutrient-rich diet
• Know that this phase is temporary 🙌

If your hair loss feels extreme or lasts longer than a year, talk to your provider to rule out other causes like thyroid changes or nutrient deficiencies.

You’re doing great, mama. 💛

DID YOU KNOW?
Stress doesn’t just affect your mood — it can actually age you at the cellular level. 🧬

📊 Studies show:
• Biological age increases during stress but can return to normal after recovery
• Stress triggers inflammation and DNA damage
• A lower biological age = lower risk of heart disease, immune issues, and more

Chronic stress happens when your body stays on high alert — even after the stressor is gone. But the good news? You can fight back with simple daily habits:

✨ Try these stress-reducing tips:
• Just 10 minutes of mindfulness
• Take an exercise break (dance, stretch, or walk!)
• Practice deep breathing
• Start a meditation routine
• Journal your gratitude

Your mind and body will thank you. 💆‍♀️💖
