It is with great sadness that we share with our members and friends that Coby Joshua Chesal passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 28th, 2025. Coby and his family have been long time members of Broward Gold Coast, and they have participated in countless events with us.

Coby Chesal was a smart, kind, and funny 25-year-old who loved music, drama and performing, according to his mom, Michal. But we will remember his smile and his genuine hugs that he would give at every event. He loved the annual Holiday Party. He would dance with his friends, while also assuring his mom and siblings had quality time together. He deeply loved and was cherished by his family, and his dog, Tikka. We will miss Coby and his smile.

Michal, our collective hearts go out to you. As mothers and friends, we extend our deepest sympathies and send our most healing love to your family at this time. We understand that time is needed to grieve your loss, but please know we are here for you and your family now and in the future.

"My daughter Faith, is a burst of sunshine wrapped in determination. She was born with Down syndrome, but that’s just one small part of the incredible person she is. Her personality fills every room she enters — bold, funny, dramatic, and full of heart. She loves fiercely, laughs loudly, and feels everything deeply. She dances through life in her own rhythm, reminding me daily to slow down and find joy in the moment. She’s taught me that strength doesn’t always look like perfection — sometimes, it looks like a giggle after a stumble, a hug after frustration, or the courage to try again. She is pure light, and I’m endlessly grateful to be the one who gets to love and learn from her every day." Amy Sebenick-Britton

"With a heart of gold and a radiant smile,
Kyra brightens the world, mile after mile.
Seventeen years of laughter and grace,
A shining joy in every space.

Born with Down syndrome, yet boundlessly free
She teaches the world how strong love can be.
In the pool or racing the track’s long bend,
Her courage and drive know no end.
When music plays, her spirit takes flight,
She dances with passion, pure delight.

At every cultural stage she gleams,
Living boldly, chasing dreams.
In the kitchen, her dreams take form,
Creating with heart, her art, her norm.
Each flavor she stirs, each meal she starts,
Is seasoned with love from the depths of her heart.

Caring and funny, with laughter so bright,
Kyra reminds us to seek life’s light.
Through her joy, her strength, her grace in sight
She shows us how to truly shine bright."

🌟"Jeronimo brought more than joy into our lives—he brought purpose.

As his family, we quickly realized he wasn’t just here to be loved. He was here to teach us how to live: fully, fearlessly, and with boundless passion.

From the moment he could move to music, Jeronimo danced—not just with his feet, but with his heart. 💃✨
Whether it was a gentle sway in the living room or twirls under the stars, his joy was magnetic.

🌍 Traveling became his way of exploring the world—eyes wide with wonder, every step filled with excitement.
⚽ And when it came to sports, Jeronimo didn’t just play—he competed with a bravery that turned every challenge into an adventure.

💙 He teaches us to: 🎶 Move to our own beat, He plays the drums with rhythm and soul, turning beats into expressions of joy.
🎨 See the world as a canvas, he paints his world with color, creativity, and emotion—each piece a reflection of his vibrant spirit.

Jeronimo doesn’t tiptoe through life. He leaps into it—with courage, energy, and a smile that never quits.
He reminds us that passion isn’t just a feeling—it’s a way of being.

Because of him, we’ve learned to: 🎶 Dance even when there’s no music
🌈 Embrace life with open arms
🏅 Play every game with heart

💙 This is why we share.
To celebrate Jeronimo.
To honor his spirit.
To raise awareness and share the beauty of living fully with Down Syndrome

Jeronimo’s story isn’t just about milestones—it’s about the moments that inspire us all to live with heart, courage, and joy." Paola Herera
