This young lady was suffering with right leg pain for months, could not even hold her newborn. She is 2 weeks out from surgery and much happier, as is her baby. Note the problem was the L5-S1 disc herniation and not the L4-5 disc bulge above it. I am admittedly proud that I did not mess up her artwork.

This young patient was having back pain and trouble walking. The problem was not in her low back, but this tumor at the base of her cervical spine as seen on the MRI. She is happier now that it is out of her🙂

This is a great example of large lumbar disc herniation on the MRI and the actual offending material removed at surgery via a minimally invasive microdiscectomy

I have to admit that even though I know this is simply an attempt to have me buy a plaque, it still is an ego boost. I wonder how many years they will keep doing this until they give up on getting my money.

August 31 2021 – The Broward County Medical Association (BCMA) Board of Directors in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and local and state specific emergencies, publishes a statement recommending that All eligible individuals, Healthcare Practitioners, School Educators as well as their associated support staff:

1. Receive the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible, which includes vaccination for all school age children over the age of 12, their families and pregnant patients, unless they have bona fide medical exceptions; And

2. Utilize harm reduction techniques, such as the wearing of masks and allow mandating of face masks for ALL, including children attending school regardless of vaccination status, for the safety, protection, and well-being of our communities.

Interesting article I read in a science journal opens your eyes to how vaccines are one of the miracle "inventions" that changed human existence. Maybe this pandemic will re-open our eyes to their true wonder, though I fear the persistent ignorant anti-vaxxers remain an obstacle.

I apologize to real neurologists, as I am a neurosurgeon and not deserving of this "recognition". It just demonstrates how flawed the "research" to determine who qualifies. No, I did not pay them for the offered plaque or posters.
