Retirement Announcement from Lynette and Allen Nadeau

After much reflection, we are announcing our retirement from Southington Tool & Mfg. Corp. (STMC).

For Lynette, it has been an incredible journey that began when she was just 16 years old, and over the past 40+ years, she has had the privilege of growing with the company and the community it’s built. Allen joined STMC in 1997, and together, we’ve shared the pleasure of working alongside so many dedicated colleagues, valued customers, and trusted suppliers. Through trade organizations, we've even formed lasting friendships with people from our respected competitors – an experience we will always cherish.

Retirement, while a dream for many, is bittersweet. While we look forward to the new adventure that lies ahead, it’s hard to say goodbye to the people who have made this experience so meaningful. We’ve been fortunate to work in an environment where dedication, camaraderie, and hard work were central to everything we did.

We are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received from all who have been part of our journey, and we want to thank each and every one of you – whether coworkers, customers, suppliers, or friends – for the incredible relationships we’ve built over the years.

As we embark on this next chapter, we will carry with us fond memories of our time at STMC. Thank you again for everything.

With warmest regards,
Lynette & Allen

Partial Change in Ownership at Southington Tool & Mfg. Corp.

We are pleased to announce a significant milestone at Southington Tool & Mfg. Corp. Anthony Califano has acquired the shares and building interest of three retiring owners, marking a new chapter in our company's journey. Anthony, a longstanding member of our team with a robust background in manufacturing, now assumes the role of principal and president at STMC.

Before this acquisition, Anthony distinguished himself as the power press department supervisor and a skilled journeyman tool maker. His expertise and dedication to excellence have been pivotal in our operations over the years. Alongside Anthony, remaining partners Kris Lipinski and Peter Martin will continue to play integral roles in advancing the capabilities of STMC.

Together, we are committed to upholding our core values and honoring the legacy of our founder, Ed Kalat. This transition ensures continuity while bringing fresh perspectives and leadership to propel Southington Tool & Mfg. Corp. into a successful future.

Lynette began her career as a staple inspector and packer while in high school. She worked part time for STMC while in college and upon graduation began working in the office. Over time, Lynette became the office manager and in 2011, President. Her story is an inspiration, that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible.

Metal Stamping and Wire Forming

Southington Tool and Mfg. Corp. (STMC) is an industry leader in the production of quality Metal Stampings and Formed Wire Components utilizing Fourslide, CNC Wire Forming and Power Press equipment. In business for over 40 years, we take pride in providing quality critical products.

Southington Tool & Mfg. Corp (STMC) was founded on July 7, 1970 by Edward W. Kalat. From its beginning in 1970 as a supplier to the hardware industry STMC quickly expanded. In 1978, STMC began providing quality components to the medical industry. Since then, STMC has expanded into the aerospace, electrical, automotive, fi****ms, and other markets.

In 2011, five associates from the management team purchased the company from Mr. Kalat. It is their intention to continue the traditions of STMC and bring about their vision for the company.

Today the strength of the company is our associates; STMC has a strong group of long-term, dedicated and knowledgeable associates in production, quality, customer service and tooling. Because of our associates and equipment, we provide products which are delivered on-time and meet your requirements the first time and every time.
