We are here to inform all my current friends and patients that I've opened my own practice, "Platte County Pediatrics" in June 2014. I'm sorry that I was not available the two months to care for your children, but being forced to take paid leave was NOT my idea....please stay in touch and spread the word that I love Platte County and caring for their children!! For those of you who might be looking for pediatric care for your children, please come visit Platte City's only pediatric dedicated clinic.

Meet Elouise everyone!
Elouise is a 9 yr old patient of ours here at Platte County Pediatrics that we have cared for since she was born in 2015, and one that reminds us of why we do what we do.

“When I was pregnant with my first daughter, my husband had only one request — that we use Dr. Lowry for pediatric care. We did, and we continued with him when our second daughter, Elouise, was born.

At her one-year well check, Dr. Lowry heard something while listening to her heart. Without alarming me, he immediately scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist for the next day. By that afternoon, we had a bed at Children’s Mercy.

As the whirlwind unfolded, Dr. Lowry was with us every step of the way. He visited Elouise after her heart surgery and, as always, seemed to know everyone at the hospital from his years of experience there.

As she’s grown, he’s continued to check in on her—and on me. He’s listened patiently to my fears as I’ve raised a heart patient who has now become a healthy, thriving 9-year-old girl.

My daughter was growing collateral blood vessels around her narrowing aortic valve to save her own life. Dr. Lowry recognized it, acted swiftly, and truly helped save her.”❤️

Summer is here, and it’s a perfect time to call and get well checks (aka “sports physicals).
Getting an annual physical for your child, done by their primary care provider, is very important.
At Platte County Pediatrics we have two board certified pediatricians who have over 55 yrs of evaluating young people, and a staff that is solely trained in pediatric care.
Our well check/sports physical encompasses many important items:
Height, weight, BMI (compared to previous years), vision, hearing, blood pressure, mental health screening, developmental assessment, physical assessment, medication review and immunization updates.
Being able to review these important factors on a yearly basis is key to good, thorough medical care and solid preventative medicine.
We would encourage all of you parents to contact your child’s ESTABLISHED primary care provider and schedule these appointments.
