We are here to inform all my current friends and patients that I've opened my own practice, "Platte County Pediatrics" in June 2014. I'm sorry that I was not available the two months to care for your children, but being forced to take paid leave was NOT my idea....please stay in touch and spread the word that I love Platte County and caring for their children!! Summer is here, and it’s a perfect time to call and get well checks (aka “sports physicals).
Getting an annual physical for your child, done by their primary care provider, is very important.
At Platte County Pediatrics we have two board certified pediatricians who have over 55 yrs of evaluating young people, and a staff that is solely trained in pediatric care.
Our well check/sports physical encompasses many important items:
Height, weight, BMI (compared to previous years), vision, hearing, blood pressure, mental health screening, developmental assessment, physical assessment, medication review and immunization updates.
Being able to review these important factors on a yearly basis is key to good, thorough medical care and solid preventative medicine.
We would encourage all of you parents to contact your child’s ESTABLISHED primary care provider and schedule these appointments.

Unique occurrence at last week’s Class 3A Missouri State High School wrestling tournament.
The two young men in the finals, at 215 pounds, were BOTH our patients!
Both Cole and Jackson are obviously gifted athletes, but it goes WAY beyond the wrestling mat/football field. Both of these gentlemen are leaders in the classroom and in their respective schools!
Jackson heads off to the Air Force Academy in the Fall to pursue engineering and wrestle.
Cole, a junior, will be back at Platte County in 2025-26 for his final seasons.
We are VERY proud of these two, and of all of our student athletes !!! ❤️
Thanks for letting us be part of the journey…..🙏🏼
