It is that time of year again, PFRC is holding our 4th annual Capital 2 Capital Bike Ride! Save June 21st in your calendars!

This ride is to raise funds and awareness for families affected by domestic violence. We are collaborating with Capital Brewery, Family Advocates, WiSport, DAIS and Bikes for Kids to make this event happen! The ride will be a metric century which is good for riders of all experience levels. Registration includes:
- A T-shirt
- A drink token from Capital Brewery
- Access to ride after party (including a raffle, music, food!)

We will also be collecting bikes once again for Bikes For Kids, so bring your used bikes out of the garage and to our event to be refurbished to families in need!

Please help free children and families from violence by participating in the Capital 2 Capital Bike ride. Clean out your garage this fall and bring it to the event so we can donate your old bike to Bikes for Kids in Madison. There will also be bikes, swag baskets, and bike art raffled. There are three distances: 25 miles, 50 miles, and 77 miles with rest stops at each location and a sag wagon. The ride ends at Capital Brewery which has generously provided drink specials for participants. There is a bus to take participants back to Platteville from Madison. For more information please check out our website: capital2capitalbikeride.com

You may not win the race but all participants will be Champions in the human race!

Platteville Family Resource Center is excited to announce our third annual fundraising event for Family Advocates on October 12th, 2024. We are dreaming bigger with "Capital 2 Capital". Starting in Platteville, riders will go through the beautiful driftless area, passing our first capital, Belmont, and ending in Madison/Middleton. We are offering three ride lengths; 25 miles, 50 miles, and 77 miles, and one race length; 25 miles. Registration is open and there will be an early bird discount of $15 off if signed up before September 1st. Those who plan on doing the 77 mile ride can sign up to have transportation from Madison/Middleton after the ride with an extra fee. There is limited seating, so first come, first serve.

A kick off event will be held at Smith Park with activities and games for the whole family! Including face paint, games, yoga and more! We will be accepting bike donations for "Bikes for Kids Wisconsin" which is an organization that takes bikes, refurbishes them and gives them to families in need. They accept all bike kinds and conditions.

We are holding a raffle, all riders will automatically be given tickets to enter. We are raffling off an adult and child bike, art and merch baskets.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to benefit Family Advocates to prevent domestic violence, provide safe haven for adults and children victimized by domestic violence, and provide advocacy services for victims of domestic violence.
