Your nervous system is made up of two parts, the Central Nervous System and the Peripheral Nervous System. Let’s break is down a little further.
*The Central Nervous System is made up of your brain and spinal cord. One of its jobs is to help the inside of your body process information that is coming in from the outside through the different senses, such as sight, sound, hearing, smell, taste and touch. It also controls voluntary movements like walking, and involuntary movements like breathing and heart rate.
*The Peripheral Nervous System is made up of all of the nerves within your body. It transmits signals from the outside world to your central nervous system for processing and back the other way to make other tissues work accordingly.
*Your spinal cord is located within your spinal column, and that is why the nervous system is very responsive to chiropractic care. Through adjustments, traction and soft tissue work, chiropractors take pressure off the nervous system to help regulate and restore function.
That is why chiropractic care can:
-Improve digestion
-Improve sleep quality
-Improve balance and coordination
-Regulate heart rate and breathing
-Improve thinking
Chiropractic care takes care of your whole body and all of its systems. Don’t wait to get adjusted, your body will thank you.
