Oakridge of Plattsburg A community owned, not for profit skilled nursing facility. We are a 60 bed Skilled Nursing Facility, located in a beautiful rural setting.

Oakridge is a comfortable, peaceful place to call home, and we strive to make Oakridge feel like home to those that live here. Three delicious home-cooked meals are served daily plus the option to choose from the alternate "Oakridge Diner" menu. Snacks are plentiful if anyone gets hungry between meals or before bedtime. Our activities program is designed for all levels with planned events daily. Scheduled activities include bingo, exercises, van trips in the Oakridge van and many more too numerous to list. We offer our residents free access to in-house satellite TV with our own community channel. Our friendly, caring staff is well trained to meet the needs of our residents 24 hours a day.

September is Apple time! We had our own Applefest at Oakridge complete with a staff pie eating contest, bobbing for apples and the Apple grapple game. We tasted a variety of apples, apple cider, apple treats, and don't forget apple pie and ice cream.

We had a Senior Social for National Senior Citizens Day. We played a game of musical chairs with a twist! If you get caught holding the bag, you had to chose an item and put it on and tell us a bit about yourself. We also enjoyed ice cream sundaes.

Dear Families,

Grandparents Day is Sunday September 7th. The Activity Department would like to make the following Monday September 8th a special day for our residents. We are asking family members to bring in pictures or copies of the pictures ahead of time of your loved ones grandchildren. These pictures will be displayed in a common area for your family member to brag about. Pictures can be given to Activity staff or left at nurses station. Please indicate if you would like any pictures returned.

It's Drinks & Inks! Our residents got temporary tattoos and a fruity drinks. Later in the week, we also got to enjoy a Pina Colada topped with whipped cream and a cherry on top. They were delicious.
